Greetings, new to this forum. Just purchased a CW9, and love the pistol.
Have put 350 rds through the gun, and cannot get it to feed gold dot hollowpoints. Hardball no problem. Two to three per mag hang on the feed ramp. Anyone else had this problem?. Any suggestions. Thanks for your replies

take the slide off and reinsert the slide lock lever and ten load a magaizine with the gold dots and see if by chance they are hitting the slide lock leve ron the left side inside. It cold be just enough to not engage the slide lock lever but maybe throwing off the bullet as it enters the chamber. This is strange indeed.
Does it feed other brand of HP ammo? I would also do a mirror finish polish job on that feed ramp. Eithe rwith a dremel or some fine 600+ grip paper and or polishing compound and also inside the chamber. The feed ramp might look great but your certainly not gonna hurt it by giving it a super polishing job either.
Take your magazaine apart and make sur eit is OK inside . More than likely it is OK or it would not feed hardball. That cw9 is just normallya flawless gun. Make sure the rcoil spring is out correctly to. open end towards the front of the slide...
keep us posted. I think this will sort itself out with alittle tlc and rounds downrange.

Thanks Jocko, I will try what you suggested. I havent tried any other hollowpoints, and hope I dont have to. I like the gold dots, and use them in my other 9mm's.
This pistol is extremely accurate with hardball. Hope I can get the HP's working

It should shoot gold dots with ease, I am assuming your taling about the 124 grain round to. Kahr test fires their guns with 124 grain ammo, so I am told. Workj wityh is some and see what transpires, U might have a picky kahr which is unusual to say the least. They ar enot ammo sensitive, but try some corbon 125 grain HP or dps rounds and see what happens..

Yes these are 124 Gr.+P gold dots. Just tried inserting mag with slide off, bullets are not hitting the slide pin. Not familiar with DPS rounds, who makes them?

FWIW mine feeds gold dots without issues. But then again I did a polish job just to be sure.

Well after perfect shooting with hardball, I finally got my CW9 to run on hollowpoints with no issues. I was having problems before with feeding issues with the gold dots 124 +p., So I thought I would try something else
Picked up some Federal HST 147 Gr +P and gave them a work out at the range today. All I can say is wow! what an awesome round. I normally like 124 +p ammo in my nines, But these 147 +P HST rounds out of the CW9 was most impressive. no failures to feed or eject using 2 different magazines. Accuracy was awesome, and it felt like you were shooting a hand cannon. I love it. very controllable, but you knew you had some serious power in your hand when you fired it. Believe I have found my new carry load. Ammo to go still has the 147+P & the 124+p in the HST if anyone is looking for this type ammo..:)
Happy Easter To All

Good to read that you got the problem solved. Strange about the Gold Dots though. My CW9 eats everything. Could have been some thing off with the rounds in that particular batch.
BTW - I like the Federal HST 147 gr.
