I finally bought the PM9 I have been wanting for a couple of years, Actually got a pretty good deal at a gunshow (dealer said they had too many with the CM9 coming out). At any rate, did the Jocko prep and took it to the range today.
100 rounds Winchester White Box and 50 rounds S&B. Flawless.
The only problem so far is that when I grab the PM9 and bring it up to sight it my natural grip seems to have it pointing 6 inches left. With my glocks (19 and 36) it just comes up pointing where I want it. I guess I will have to get used to the ergonomics of the little jewel. Other than the left pointy thing it feels great in my hand and the recoil is way better than I expected.:D

double stack glocks are gonna grip and feel differenty. More rounds ou of the gun and you will adjust to it. It is much smaller than both model glocks to. try not to compare your kahr to a glock. Triggers are alot different also. `100 flawless rounds is off to a great romance.
Might ust be me but also don't compare the accuracy u get with your G`19 to this PM9. The glock should out shoot it alot due to size, and especially the different trigger systems...Your PM9 IMO is what it is a close up 7 yards and under get good at gun that will save ur live and a gun that u can carry 24/7 without special dress required..

Not blaming the PM9. In fact, once i get it pointed the right way it puts holes right where I ask it to. I just thought it was interesting that when I just pick it up I am pointed severly left. I have Glocks, a 1911, and a couple of J frames that I don't do that with. Since this gun will be with me almost constantly once I get it qualified to carry (250 trouble free rounds with range an self defense ammo) I am sure I will get over this.

Congrats on your new PM9! After shooting only my PM9 this past month, my G30SF felt really strange in my hands when I took it to the range a few days ago.

I don't know about the pointing left part, but since I shoot other brands of guns the Glock grip angle naturally points high for me when I try one. That's why I don't have a Glock because I can't shoot them well - well, that and the thick grip.

if Kahr seen me shoot my PM9 after 31,500 rounds, I am sure they would try to buy the gun from me and make me swear to never own or shoot a kahr again. I do them no justice for accuracy, and God knows I have tried..
Try putting a Hogue Jr. rubber grip on the pistol. it will fill out that narrow gripping surface a tad and you will find yourself gripping the pistol in the same manor each time. I have one on both of PM9 & PM45 and helps you control those small frames alot better.

Some day Jocko will really feel it and start using the "Force" to shoot his PM9 and shots will go where he wants them.

Just a quickie, when you say it is naturally pointing 6" to the left, at what distance are you aiming?
Cheers

if it naturally points 6" to the left, u need to do some serious grip analysis, IMO.

Maybe I didn't phrase it correctly. I don't have a serious problem here it was just something interesting I noted. If I just "grab" the gun and bring it up on target I have it pointed left (about 6" at 7 yeards). It is easy to correct it is just different than my other guns. I will have to pay attention to my grip and see if I am needing to re-grip to get the sights aligned.
By the way Jocko I know you say you are a terrible shot but from what I've seen so far your advice usually seems to be on target:rolleyes:.

BUT BUT my advice never makes any holes in paper!!!!!! My bullets do and that is where the rubber meets the road.. It has got to be boring for guys like Todd Jarrett and Brian Enos, everytime they go out they hit everything they shoot at, Now tell me just how boring is that?? Where is the thrill???Now in my case I shoot terrible, so it is a thrill when every once in awhile I shoot the eyes out of my target. I have a painted wall in my garage for these targets. Nice wall still fokking blank to but I have a goal, they reached theirs and there is only one road left for those type of shooters. I like to think in terms of a 10 step step ladder. Enos, Jarrett and those guys are at the #10 step, they can't go any higher and have to be careful or they might fall off and hurt themselves. Now ol jocko is at about step 2 working on #3 real hard, I can't fall back to much and hurt myself. Hell of a rationale ain't it..
