I can`t believe I`ve had this much to say about anything.I`ve talked more here than I have to all three of my wives combined. But here I am,poised on the precipice of a thousand posts. It makes me drift back to the early days here.I think I joined on September 3rd of 2009.I was very unsure of what I could possibly contribute other than the fact that I simply loved the PM9 I had bought back in May of that year.I have met some wonderful people here on this forum and also a few who had their heads up their behinds.I guess they like the view.Anyway, while I`m not as knowledgeable about firearms as a lot of the guys here,I felt that there was one thing I could do if the mods didn`t boot my hiney out of here first and that was to use my slightly offbeat point of view.It has caused folks to be amused, confused, angry and slightly embarrassed at times. You have all stayed the course with me through the jewels and God bless you all, you`ve hung in there with the turkeys too. That being said,I feel it`s time to go on vacation for a little while.I`m about to start a new career and frankly I`m about to pee my pants.Hope I don`t fall flat on my fanny.Besides, when I make my next post I want it to be a good one, so it will require some thought.I won`t be gone long.I couldn`t stand the thought of Bawanna cheating on me with someone else.He tries to throw up a smokescreen with all the proposals of marriage to the females here but we all know there`s a little "Yes Ma`am" in there.I`ll see you all soon as I know this new thing ain`t gonna jump up and bite me in the butt.Dietrich.

999? Thats like having your lips sewn shut with baler twine. What's my excuse. All them post and very little said.
I'll allow a very short hiatus, I didn't see this coming but remember it takes very little time to check in with your pals from time to time and to report that all is well in Dietrich land. Keep your priorities in line.
I'm sorry you have to start a new career, apparently this retirement stuff isn't working for alot of folks. Kind of sad. I've predicted so far pretty accurately that I will never be able to retire. Never looked forward to it since it requires old to play. Sadly I've found that weather you retire or not, there's no hiding from old. It sneaks up on ya slow like at first and then faster and faster till pretty soon you sit around and reminise about the old days.
Don't leave us too long buddy. I look for your presence, even when you don't post every day. Log in once in awhile and let your name show up on the bottom, that'll let us know your ok. Or as ok as we've grown to expect considering your reputation and all.
I guess this is as good a time as any for the will ya or won't ya question. So will ya or won't ya?

If this is a effort to find a life on your part and you find that your successful please let me know. I've often thought of looking for one myself and actually this is as good as it gets for me right now.
With all the insanity going on in the world right now I sometimes find myself boiling over with confusion, embarrasment, humilation, and down right shame.
A quick trip to the insanity of Kahrtalk normally makes it all ok again, puts things in perspective even if it doesn't fix everything that needs fixed.
It's as simple as a milkshake, a harley between your legs and some ankles to look at at the range. Who knew how few simple pleasures it takes to keep us content.

Dietrich,
I joined the same day as you 9-3-09 and must say that you have kept me entertained, amused and sometime wondering what institution in North Carolina with rubber walls you were logging in from. Good luck on the new venture going from patient to staff. And by all means don't stay away for long as it really helps when I am sure I am not the only one here with a really warped sense of humor.

Dietrich? Warped sense of humor? What did I miss? Seems perfectly normal to me in a normble sense.

We'll miss you Dietrich, and we're looking forward to having you back - don't make it too long. Good luck to you with the new endeavors, I hope and pray that it goes well for you. If you need anything, just holler and make it 1000!
P.S. Thanks for always being the nice guy who would always be kind and greet all of the newbies that venture into our little world. I remember that you were among the first (if not the first) to say hi and welcome me and I thank you for that.
P.P.S. I suggest NOT peeing your pants on the first day.

Hurry back, we'll miss you. Meantime since I joined only a month after you, I've got thirty days to post 311 times to match you - oops, make that 310.
