Picked up my CM9 Monday, prepped it, and finally made it to the range yesterday. Limited on time, but I put about 125 rounds of Federal Champion and WWB through it without a hiccup. This is my first Kahr and I'm really impresssed with this little pistol and the way it shoots. Really nice trigger and not much recoil. This should be a great carry gun. I will run some SD ammo through it next time out.

Good reports seem to keep coming in on the new CM9's. I'm really happy that these things are working like they should.
I don't think we've seen a negative report on them yet. Awesome.

wow $399 , one hell of a great price, for such a super well made quality gun. Just don't see how one can go worng with the cm9. Hell maybe ol jocko might even pony up and buy one as a mate to his trusty PM9.

I've been thinking about doing the same. It would have been nice if they would have kept them with the same dimensions as the old styles though! :32:I'm guessing it will fit in my Desantis fine and cozy but not so sure about the others.

oh my great minds indeed do think alike. If it was a blunt nose version, I would have had one in my hands by now and probably off to Mag na port by now. I do think though it will fit in a desantis with ease, some of these custom rigs I would be leary off until told other wise.
MK, u just gotta be one of the brightest stars on this forum!!!!! course u understand this is an opinion of only ONE. oh my a blunt nose lover no less..
I did shoot my PM9 today at 40 yards. Have no clue where the rounds went, they did not go at all in my FBI Q silhouette target, which is big.

I too just bought a cm9 from GT Distributors. What a deal. I sold a pf-9 to help pay for the Kahr. I always wanted a pm9, but the price kept me back. Once they made the cm9 I saw the green light. It seems to be better made than the Kel Tec. The pf-9 rattled when shook, yet if fed reliably. The bluing on it was weak and I was going to have to spend around $50 to have it nickel plated so I just sold it. The Kahr seems to fit better in the pocket and has a nicer feel overall. I was looking for a small, pocket nine that would last that wouldn't break the bank. Those guns are going to sell like crazy.

Not a problem. Just get a bigger target mate.
Cheers

Thanks for the kind comments, jocko, but I know I don't deserve them - not even close!! I'm still a newb in so many ways. You're exactly right on the custom rigs, I'm going to need to have a CM9 in my hands to physically see for myself if it will fit my Tucker Silent Thunder, etc. It would be a shame to pick one up and know I'd have to get all new holsters, etc. Hence, my current internal debate - my next purchase will be a Kahr, just debating between 1) a CM9 (for practically carbon-copy BUG), 2) TP9 (have exact same function and MOA as my beloved PM9 with larger grip, longer barrel and two rounds for my house/IWB gun), 3) step up to steel/wood and get a K9 or T9, or 4) Man up and get a Bawanna big boy PM45. Ah, choices, choices (can hear Bawanna saying just get 'em all! I wish I could!).
P.S. I was wondering what those 9mm bullets were doing in my backyard as I was starting work on my garden. Next time, jocko, please shoot the opposite direction!!

On a thread over on defensive carry LOS posted one of his comparison charts and it seems that there is no reason a CM9 wouldn't fit in a PM9 holster. However, if you had a custom made for your CM9 that was boned really tight at the muzzle you may not get your PM9 in it. Is there any other reason you would have trouble with it? Am I not seeing something?
I ask all this b/c I was planning on getting a PM9 holster for my soon-to-arrive CM9. Should I hold off?

I believe it will work just fine. I also don't think the new tapered versions will have any difficulty fitting in the majority of the old holsters. Very close size wise.

I got a pm9 before the cw came out. I would have gone with the cw if it had been avalible.

I've been curious about Magna porting. Is there more muzzle flash and how does that work out in low, low light or at night? What about additional noise, any? Benefits? Thanks

your question. I think wyn posted some photos of taking photos of a kahr inside a range that is not ported. The flame was enormous, we just don't see it. No doubt at night you will see muzzle flash out of practicalyl any gun, as far as magna porting goes. I would refer yoiu to their webb site and they have answers toyour questions.
