Well I tried to buy a ported barrel for my cw40 about a year ago and was told they were having problems with the manufacturer and didn't know when they would be available again. Well it's. Year later and still no luck. If anyone has one for sale or knows where to get one please pm me and let me know. I was thinking of magna port but I would rather keep the slide clean and stock.

actually a magna ported slide is very attractive IMO, certainly doesn;'t detract from the looks of the gun, and magna port works. U would notice it for sure with ahty 40 cal cw.. read up on it. magnaport.com

u can just send the sldie and barrel to, for aobut $8, turn around it less than 10 days..

Well THANKS Jocko, your last post finally DID IT-I'm gonna have to send MagnaPort my darned CW40 barrel and slide!!! :53: (just kidding!)

I have 3 shotguns that are ported ( one hunting, two sporting clays guns) and even with the LOOOOW chamber pressures of a 12 ga. shotgun, the reduction in muzzle rise is dramatic. My wife's car gun is a Rossi 971 stainless 357 mag with about a 3 inch barrel and the last 3/4 inch or so is a ported section that came from the factory that way. Shooting 125 grn 357 mags in the little hand cannon isn't bad at all and the muzzle really doesn't come up that much at all. It's all about pressure though-if she shoots standard 38's in it you can't really see much difference.

The turnaround really was less than 10 days? My SKB O/U was ordered from the factory with Pigeon Porting and I sent the other two barrels in during the off season and can't remember how long it took to get them back. Price is 140 bucks for a semi which I think it's been for a long time.

Yep, she's goin' in!!!
