View Full Version : How to change the trigger return spring
My trigger return spring (#10 on the parts diagram) is weak and I want to replace it with a new factory spring.
Is all I need to do is drive out the trigger pin from left to right, swap out the spring and reinstall the trigger pin?
Or are there additional steps required? Thx.

wow that would be a first to ever hear. I have never done it. do u have a polymer version or steel version. both work the same way but the polmerr versions I have been told are very touchy. Could it just be tha tyour trigger system has smoothed ot alot. Not to argue, it's ur gun and you should know but I just don't see how that triger spring can be weak... I would suspect like all springs there is a certain amount of spring set that is there by dfesign. Recoil springs when new are tighter than 100 rounds later but e springs are perfect, just that now the pre designed set has been accomplished and they change very little after that.. Just my 2 centshere to. BNut Ihavbe over 30,000 runds thorugh my PM9 and other than one hellalious smooth ass trigger system. I don't want to mess with my trigger spring.
I am a true believer of "if it ain't broke don't fix it..
Thanks Jocko - it's an MK9. So do you know if all I need to do is drive out the trigger pin from left to right, swap out the spring and reinstall the trigger pin?
Or are there additional steps required? Thx.
The trigger reset is really weak as compared to my friends MK9. That leads to me short stroking the trigger sometimes in rapid fire.

Maybe this old link could be of help.
And maybe it should become (if si not already) a "Sticky."
