Like the title states...I'm sure that alot of other people here would agree. Practice would be alot cheaper, target practice with my .40 or .380 Kahrs gets a bit expensive but I guess you have to pay to play as they say. A .22 with the same smooth trigger as all Kahrs would be nice. Or if an aftermarket company comes out with a conversion kit. Either would be awesome :D

Wouldn't that be sweet? :)

I'd pay $400 for a reliable CW22. Stagger the mag so it held 10 rounds, keep all else the same, or practically so, and it would be a winner. Anything to compete with the Mosquito or Walther P22 (which were huge disappointments due to reliability problems).

Hoping they do but not going to hold my breath.

Hey! My P22 is reliable (as long as I use CCI mini mags :) ) just about any other brand of ammo will not let it run reliably.
As longitude zero says "don't hold your breath"

I don't see kahr venturing in the 22 league..
Not for me... I don't see a need for a DAO .22.

Having a DOA .22 with a Khar style trigger would give the budget minded Kahr owners an option for practicing trigger control and to have fun with. I'd like to see a CW22 come out as well. I have an ISSC M-22 but the trigger doesn't compare to a Kahr's trigger. Like the P22, it'll only run near 100% reliable wi the cci minimags.

I would much prefer an Airsoft Kahr matching closely in weight and trigger pull to the real thing. I practice/train more with my Airsoft Glock 26 than my 3 carry guns combined. Pretty effective practice/training can be done cheaply and safely and at home. Nothing of course compares to live fire with your very own carry piece.

I have a mosquito also and it runs fine with the CCI mini mags as well. But it is picky about what it eats.

I would buy a PM22 the size of a PM9.
that would be nice. But until then, I'm enjoying the heck outta my GSG 1911 .22

I don't know what is wrong with you guys and the p22. Mine has eaten every type of ammo (remington gold bullet, federal lightening, winchester, blazer, all the general walmart bulk packs) with not one FTF or FTF other than due to a dud round.
I have a conversion Slide & Magazine for my 4" Pro Raptor 45 ACP. The paperwork for my 22 Kimber conversion calls for a high velocity type ammo the CCI mini mags in particular. It did feed the Remington high velocity yellow jackets though.

I'm looking forward to S&W's release of their new M&P22. It duplicates looks, functions, ergos and weight of the larger caliber M&Ps. Lists at $419. Coming any day now :)
FWIW, Tactical Solutions makes a .22 top end for a couple of model Glocks. I forget which ones, but, they offer it a couple or three ways, and it covers more than just a handful of models (I'm supposing they span models based on base frame size). Don't have a Glock so I didn't look into it.... something like that would be very nice for Kahr... but...
The price. A good .22 conversion is expensive.
The Ciener .22 is dubious in function, and not that accurate. The Kimber, Springfield, Wilson and others are all made by Ciener, just badged with respective names. The more inexpensive Marvel unit falls into that group. The better Marvel unit is hard to get, they've suspended orders, and its expensive. The Tactical Solutions unit, top dog, but $400+, and you can get new .22 pistols for way less than that. But if you want a 1911 conversion... thats the way to go presently. A used Kart conversion, when you can find them... an arm and a leg as well. They have an outstanding rep in Bullseye shooter's circles.
For a cheapie plinker... lots of good, or decent .22's out there. What would Kahr offer?
Wooops... saw the mention of Mosquito.
Mosquito, the Browning 1911/22 other similar guns, the Walther 22.... all are made of "Zamac" a pressure cast zinc alloy of questionable long term wear properties. I avoid arms made from zinc. Sorry, and apologies to Mosquito owners, but thats just my take on it.

I too am waiting on the M&P 22. Ruger has made an almost dead bang reliable 22 pistol for decades. I have 2 and they are a great deal of fun. I can see why Kahr would not get into the rimfire business as it is already crowded and would increased sales justify the R&D expense?

I would bite on a Kahr .22 LR if it was the size as a p380 and held 10 rounds. I've have/had a few different 22's. Favorites right now are a Ruger Single Six and Sig P229. The P229 also shoots 40 S&W. As far as small ones I had a Phoenix HP22 that was a 10 round gun, no larger than a Beretta Bobcat. Also had a Walther P-22, I sold it to buy the Sig. Most of the semi's only like CCI Mini Mags. The Ruger will chew up anything and is a tac driver. Just not as much fun as the semi's. :33:
