View Full Version : Why is a P380 not a "PM..."

Yes, there are more important things to worry about...

But since I check the "P" forum because I have a P380, and then I check the "PM" forum for my PM9 -- it occurred to me that my little P380 is really just a downsized PM9...

So... Why didn't it get named the PM380???

I think the m is for mini, a pm380 would be a mini of the "p".
Huh?

I remember a higher up at kahr statng there was a reason for no PM380 but he never said what the reason was.

They're keeping costs down by not having to engrave the "M" on the slides on all the P380s.

When they translated it to English it came out PMS 380 ,luckily someone at Kahr caught it before production started.Wonder if they should have left it ?:biggrin1:
