Arizona governor vetoes campus gun bill.

She's been solid on 2A up to this point. I know the AZ Senate gutted the original bill - made it apply to just sidewalks on campus & stuff like that. She claimed that it was "sloppy" in its language. I say cut her some slack until we get more details, but would be interested to hear what our AZ members have to think.

The proof of citizenship was written poorly too. It basically gave full power to decide who goes on the ballot to a single person.

I agree with points about the 2 laws.
regarding cuts... if they money aint' there, it ain't there.
During the "good times" (housing boom) revenue to the state went up, so they increased spending.
During the "bad times" (housing bust), revenue to the state went down, so you need to decrease spending.. one can't keep spending at old levels.
Interesting facts on education spending in Arizona, during boom-time:
http://www.americansforprosperity.org/042809-some-quick-statistics-education-spending-arizona
AZ Revenue 2007: $23.76B
AZ Revenue 2010: $15.72B
What would you do if you lost 34% of your income? Cut back your expenses, I would assume.
