So, I recently acquired a S&W Mdl 10 with the tapered barrel for AZSA Capers. Now I'm looking for advice and wisdom from those of you who have shoot capers with revolvers before (I know that you are few and far between. :D).

What hints/tricks to reloading and carrying spare ammunition have worked for you? Do you use a 2x2x2 pouch? or just carry them loose in a pocket? I'm getting ready to order a replica of the Tom Threepersons style holster from Lobo Leather. I know that modern preference is for a holster that covers the trigger guard, but I like the classic style for this gun. PLus I'm only going to use the holster for AZSA. I'm trying to decide if I should also order the pouch or just go with the ammo in a pocket, though I'm not sure I'm fond of that idea.

Thanks,
Aloha,
Doug

You might look as these as a period way to carry extra ammo. It's a slide that fits on the belt.

Here's a lower cost option, a repro canvas WWI half moon clip holder for the M1917 revolver. Should hold loose 38s.

Thank you Race. You are wealth of knowledge and I appreciate it so much. The second link that you provided (thank you for the further suggestion) is a great site! I think I will try that canvas repro and I think I found the holster that I want as well. They both fit perfectly with the "character" I've been developing in my mind (for a novel/short story too) and equally important, they fit my budget.
