My friend and I both bought P380s today, he got his in black and I got mine in two tone. My two tone with standard sites was $579 total. Awesome little guns, I dont know why I ever considered the LCP or DB380, this is 5x as much gun. I will probably carry BB 100g hardcast in it.
My quetion is, what kind of pocket holsters do people recommend for these? I was thinking the Nemesis, its cheap and looks like it will be comfortable and stay in place. Anything else I should be looking at? Thanks!

A Nemesis is a good idea for a pocket holster. I have a Blackhawk pocket holster, but I use a Smart Carry most often. The Smart Carry was actually purchased for a Ruger SR9C but by using a a couple of well placed safety pins per the instructions, it works perfectly with the smaller P380. It is a great CCW holster if you dress in slacks or shorts with a polo or T shirt.

Best of luck with your new .380.
Nemesis should work just fine for the P380. I've been using them for years with both my P3ATs and although the stickiness is long gone the holsters haven't worn much at all. Simple middle finger push off is all that is needed to effect a smooth swift draw from the pocket leaving the holster behind.
Uh, one thought just crossed my mind. P3ATs don't have much by way of sights and therefore nothing really to snag on the upper seam of of the Nemesis, might be a different story with the P380 having real sights. It would be the front sight that might snag on the draw if the gun is drawn straight up and not tilted as it is being drawn from the holster.
Good luck,
Bill K.

Pretty strong opinion if you've not shot your P380 yet, as you don't indicate you have. If yours works right, it might be 2X as much gun as the LCP.
And I hope yours works right.
If it doesn't, it might not be half as much gun as a good working LCP.

I have shot it, I love it, no hicups. I have shot the LCPs and wasnt a fan. Two big things that killed the LCP for me were the inability to shoot hot ammo (Buffalo Bore and Corbon) and lack of real sites since I will be ranging this gun on a decent basis. The LCP is also larger, less comfortable, and a stolen design.
The only issue I have is the spring that holds the transfer bar in the grip sticks just a touch causing a tiny "click" right at the initial trigger stroke. I emailed kahr to see what they recommend. This is in no way a functional problem, just me being a perfectionist.

My P380 just got dropped off by FedEx after its second trip back home. After I shoot it this time, I hope I agree with you about it being maybe, just maybe, a tiny bit better than the LCP.:)
I will say that with my former LCP (now my son's) I could hit chest size rocks at the 25 yard berm with no problem. Those sights were tiny but well regulated. I also feel it glided (glid?) out of the pocket easier than my P380 because of that fat oversized slide stop on the P380. I wish they would contour that thing down. I might do it myself someday if my P380 ends up a keeper.
By the way, this might not get the proper attention over here in the PM forum.

Yeah, I realized that after posting it. I am just so used to coming here because of my PM40, all well. If a mod sees this, feel free to move it.
For people who have been having issues, do you guy have the two tone or black?
I am going to order a leather pocket hoster off Ebay, not a bad price and its hand made. Gotta support the little guy

Love Kahr pistols and would never trade or sell my PM9. However I'm not sold on spending that much on a .380 pistol when a 9mm is not all that much bigger but is a much better SD pistol. Good luck with it, I hope it gives you as many good flawlees years of service as my Kel TEC P3at. which I put through hell and back. It is by far my most abused pistol and yet it has never failed to chamber a round, shoot it, and then spit it out like a bad clam. That P3at has by far exceeded every expectation I might have ever had about it. True they are not fun to shoot to many rounds out of at one sitting, True the sights are terrible, but they don't get hung up either. True it will shoot +p ammo, just not meant to shoot a steady diet of them.. True it is a point and shoot pistol that is designed to be a close up SD tool and nothing more. True sights mean nothing in a adrenilene pumping SHTF situation when a fraction of a second counts. Like I said love Kahrs but there 9mm's or bigger. KEL TEC P3at and the Ruger LCP are very reliable pocket .380 pistols that are a great bang for the buck, but like any other .380 pistol on the market they have there limitations.

the desantis IMO is an excellent pocket holster. Don't consder any holster that rides in thepocket as a fast draw area. It just is not, somemight be faster thanothers but that isjust not a fast draw area. A desantis or uncle mikes contours well and fast over leather, closed ends keep the guns clean as a whistle to. ad most important it covers the trigger area well, . The sights on the P380 are no hindrance in drawing out of the pocket a my lcp was either. Sights are super nice on a P380 expecially if you get the night sights,m but remember this is a point and shoot gun to, not a target gun, so IMO in a defense sitiation U MIGHT see THE FRONT SIGHT. but train for POA shootg at 7 yards and under.

I have owned both the LCP (still do) and a P380, the lack of sights on the LCP and the trigger is the main difference,, I prefer the P380 but I still would trust my life to a LCP.
Another issue is the cost $525 for a P380 vs $290 for an LCP.

Welcome to the P380 club! I carry mine in a Jason Winnie holster from jasonwinnie.com . Its suede leather and bad to the bone! Best deal and best product around and at $34.00 try to beat it.
The holster has a piece of leather at the top above the slide that I can push down on the ejects the holster away from my P380 in my pocket. The Suede keeps it in one place and the hook will catch my pocket corner upon draw, sweet very sweet.
I have one of this guys holsters for everyone of my Kahrs and a few other guns.
Keep us updated on how they shoot.

Wow, that looks like exactly what I was looking for! Thanks! How do you like the grip extension?
As far as the sites, I dont necessarilly want them for SD, I want them for range shooting. To say this is not a range gun is silly to me, every gun is a range gun. If it werent... theres a good chance it would never be shot. If anything, I would want to range my SD pistol more than any target pistol, my life isnt going to depend on a competition polished 1911. I will probably shoot this gun on the range as much as any of my other non-.22 pistols.

Grip extension = 1 more finger on the grip. Made all the difference for me, love them and they are cheap! The new Pearce extensions have the matching grip pattern, looks nice.
