Travel question

Has anyone flown on Virgin America airlines? I booked a flight a couple of nights ago for a trip later in the year. My son and I are going to Texas for a week, so we figured to try Virgin. I think they are fairly new to Seattle, and we'll have to fly to L.A. first, then to DFW, but the price is good. $280 for roundtrip. I figure the prices will go up with rising fuel cost, and all.
From what I read on their site, seems to be a little more room, and also more ammenities, even in coach. However, I will try to upgrade to first class before the flight. I've been spoiled to that the last few times I've flown, and it will be hard to go coach again if I can't upgrade.
Anyway, I'm wondering how good they are, if anyone knows.

Don't get caught with a lead foot there. They frown upon that, highly. Have no experience with the airline. If you fly armed, expect the peckers from TSA to give some grief, and perhaps pull you off the plane to verify that you are unloaded. Otherwise, have a great time.

We know where that is. My former supervisor is fro Mt Pleasant. Jlottmc is correct about flying into and out of DFW. The TSA may give you a hard time about checking the weapon. TSA is not the brightest here.
