Are pretty sharp.

Any good way to take the edge off without messing up the looks?

Thanks,
Scott

I have a CM9 and a CW9 while the serrations are sharp I have left them alone so I would get a good grip for racking the slide.
That said, I have done some stoning/filing on the slide at the ejection port where the curve meets the top and it blends in. If you stone it I use a 3 sided India stone and a very fine precision file to do it. I would protect the bottom flat area with tape and just make a few passes on the corner to dull it some.
If you don't feel comfortable doing that, You could try to put small pieces of grip tape(Ilike traction grips in rubber) down inside each serration that would build the depth up some and may feel better to you. It looks kinda cool too! If you don't like it just peel it off no permanent changes.
I so far have stoned/filed + polished the sharp edge at the ejection port, The magazine and floorplate(they feel like glass know and are highly polished) and I rounded the rear corners, top and bottom of the slide lock lever. Also I had to sand inside the grip frame a little so my mags would drop free.
All this work blends right in with the gun,I doubt anyone would every notice it and makes it much nicer to operate, just be careful and take your time doing stuff like this and it will look fine.

Posted before but worth repeating...
A quarter inch diameter or similar round stone laid parallel over the serration will touch only the sharp corners.
A few careful strokes will bevel only these corners, without touching anywhere else.
Using this method will eliminate any OOPs', unwanted scratches.
just sayin'

i am sure it's possible, but i wouldn't do it myself!

Good idea! Tilos,
I have round stones too... just never thought much about doing the serrations but that would work well and no tape would be needed to protect the bottom.
OP do it this way if you decide to stone it.

My PM9 serations are sharp also figured that would come in handy if my hands were wet, dirty or cold and I needed to rack the slide. Taking those edges off might mean you'll have to grab the slide harder to rack it.

They are sharp enough to show wear on my leather work gloves when I was racking the slide multiple times.

Way sharper than my Ruger. I've ordered some stones online.

I thought they were a little sharp on mine as well. I too had to wear some leather gloves initially when I was racking the slide a couple hundred times to assist with break in.

Between that, shooting a couple hundred rounds, and working the gun in and out of a newly made holster, they are no longer sharp at all.

So I don't think it will take much for them to round off a little to feel comfortable.

Haven't had a problem with the slide grip but I too broke the sharpness on that ejection port...
I used a dremel with an abrasive filled rubber tip to do it. Much like the old ink erasers were years ago. Didn't want to take anything off really, just dull the edge.
