Recently purchased a CW9 as my first CCW, along with the Crimson Trace and an OWB holster from the Kahrshop page along with a Crossbreed mini-tuck. Looking at a minatour MTAC already, anyone have experience with these holsters? Like I said I've never CCW before so I have no preference/idea what I should be going with. Not sure if the Crimson trace will be staying on so I'd like some different holster options. I have the money to spend should I pick up the MTAC for use when the CT is off just for sh**s and giggles? I've read every CW9 post on this forum I believe and have learned a lot, I know holstering will be a personal preference but opinions are valuable as well. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum.
Can't really help you with a holster as I normally pocket carry my CW9 in a cheap Blackhawk pocket holster. When I do carry IWB it's in a Bianchi model 100. This is a clip on type holster that works pretty well for me.
Clean and prep your CW9 as per the instructions in the tech section. You should have no problems with the gun.

Hello and welcome to the Forum. I have a CW9 and carry it in a Comp-Tac CTAC IWB holster. A Don Hume 721 Open top OWB and I have used the Crossbreed Super tuck, that I bought for a Browning Hi-Power. Amazingly it works. I have pocket carried in the right pants, but prefer an OWB belt holster. Of course the pistol hides better in a IWB holster, but for me that is very uncomfortable.
Which Kahr shop holster did you buy? And how does it carry?
I think you will love the CW9 , I have 900+ rounds through mine. I did add a slip on grip form the Kahr shop, the Hogue Handall Jr. I like the grip better with the Hogue. The Kahr is wonderful for carry and a great all round hand gun!

I bought the Mich rosen OWB holster for through CT, haven't received it from shipping yet I will post my thoughts when I get it. I've already contemplated the grip and I'm looking forward to getting some range time this weekend!

Before buying the grip, check into doing THIS (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZ3_RwUpmpk). Much cheaper and is IMO one of the best options(if you do your part right). Mine cost 4 bucks.

That looks good, the only problem I have with the Hogue is the grip moves around the grip every couple of magazines fired. Because I already have the Hogue I may try some kind of tacky inside the grip to see if that stops the twisting.

You might try some hairspray but I have heard that a lot about those Hogue grips. I have the bike tube on my Glocks, Kel-Tec and soon to be Kahr CW9. I used the spare piece with the stem for my maglight to keep it from rolling off a sloped surface.
