Possible future alternative to wood grips...

Okay, it won't be a cheap option, but Crimson Trace does have a Future Model Request page. Given that they already make grips for K and MK series, enough interest in the T series might convince them to add that model to their lineup as well. Even if you're not sure if you want a laser, submitting a request isn't a commitment to buy. However, it might very well open up that option for you if you decide that you want one later on.

I've contacted Hogue, Crimson Trace, and Kahr about the possibility of having thinner, more concealment oriented grips - these sorts of grips also tend to help me in my competitions as well.

All 3 have said there are no plans to offer thinner grips, of either rubber or wood, for the T series.

Might I suggest getting a sanding sponge and taking your time - remove the slide, mag catch, and slide release, mask off the frame, put on the grips, and watch a movie. You'd be amazed how much it'll improve the feel, even with the removal of the stamped checkering Kahr puts on their grips.

It doesn't take much to make the improvement - for me it's reducing the offending rearward portion near the slide that digs into my thumb joint with a high grip on the gun.

I had previously asked about a set of the Houge rubber grips, but due to the low volume on this pistols on the streets don't expect anything other than making my own or finding someone to do it for me. You will never get anyone to make a mold when 100% of the market is only like 1,000 pieces.

Seriously - mask the frame, strip the pistol, and get out the sanding sponges. It's a replaceable part if you mess it up (unlikely), and the sanding sponges will keep the same overall shape while reducing edges and thickness.

Follow this up with some allen head 1911 grip screws, and trip the length down so that they are flush (minus a thread or two) and it will garantee your mags drop free, no more ripping the mags out if you tighten the screws slightly more than previously. They also won't rust like what Kahr put on from the factory.

Modify the gun to fit you - doesn't take more than some time and masking tape.
