Do I get up early and watch the wedding or do I skip the wedding and go to the NRA convention? This is a very serious decision because at my age if I get up early to watch the wedding I'll be too tired to attend the convention. Decisions decisions.:eek::ohmy:

If you skip the NRA convention to watch the "royal" wedding, I disown you. :32: You will no longer be known as Kahrseye. Not sure what you will be known as, but it won't be so nice as Kahrseye! ;)

So, do you think that the wedding won't be rerun again and again and again and again......you get the idea.

No worries, go to the NRA convention. I'm gonna be outside the door selling posters of Kate the new angel princess. That's why you wanna watch anyhow right? I didn't get an invite either, might as well try to make a few bucks.
She's obviously after the loot, if she was after handsome I would have been there.

Aww man! I got em the same thing, good thing we touched bases, that would have been sooooo awkward. That was too close.
No worries, now I can send it to Jocko, it'll match his grips perfectly. Not quite as hot a pink but plenty warm.

But of course. You think I run a sweat shop or something. How bout 25% per sale. Any customers that are hotter than the princess angel herself that you send you get 91%.
Fair?

All I want to know, and "want" may be too strong a word, is did it happen or didn't it. That can be said in a single sentence. I don't need anything else. I'd rather watch the old Mohawk Indian test pattern.
I do hope though that the security is tight and that the event comes off without incident. At my wedding, we could have used tighter security to keep my new mother-in-law in line.

I knew only the old farts would know to what I was referring with the test pattern. When I was a kid, in 1955 or so, I used to get up really early, turn on our first TV and watch the test pattern until Captain Video and the Video Rangers or Flash Gordon or whateven came on. I was fascinated even by the test pattern.
Life was so much simpler then. Kids played with yo-yos, tops, jacks, marbles etc. Out all day playing, no worries about perverts and so on.

We refer to that as the pre Jocko/Wyntrout days.

I remember Flash Gordon well. Sure were some fancy space ships they had then. They putt across the screen emitting a small puff of smoke now and then. Even earlier, I still think the radio theater programs were really swell.

Flash was the man back then. and marbles, hell I can remember our local schools having actual marble tournaments, and the marble of the day was a catseye. My my the ol times. I mention marbles to my son and he says yup dad u have lost um, He hasn't a clue as to what I am referrring to---I think.
I think the slang slogan we use today about taking your marbles and going home was started back in my days for I seen that many times when a youngster would get pissed, he would just rink up (marble rink talk) and take his marbles and go home, especialy when he seen he was up against a good "shooter".. How about steelies??? remember them to..oh my I am thread jacking again, but ain't it fun.:israel: Playing marbles should have been my first clue as to why I should noever shot a gun. I couldn't hit jack sh-t wiith my marble either. It was so embarrassing when I was first up to bust the POT and missed the entire POT. I wonder if a 20 year old wold know what busitng the POT was. Proably would think it had somethign to do with maryjane and police, u think???

Wow, I remember that stuff, but not because I'm an old fart. Yes I have seen them, and my daughter does play with stuff like that.

To add to my marles post. I went to a catholic shool back in the 50" and we had NUNS when NUNS were nuns. U know, the kind with the black robes down to their ankles and big white hoods, wher eonly the face showed and a rope belt whith 3 to 5 big nots in them. ( we were told they were notches that nuns earned for being tuff NUNS, certainly convinced me for sure) anyway Sister clara during the marble season always walked aorund with what I cal ltoday a POSSABLES bag. but it was her marble bag and she had an over sized catseye SHOOTER that I can still remember to this day. She would clean our plows every time she played any of us and then that SHOOTER would go back in the bag along with our marbles that she cleaned from the pot. Damn those were good days
I wonder if the saying "have u lost ur marbles" came about during that era..

Wow you've sent me on a trip down memory lane Jocko. Those "real" nuns had me in shear terror. Most of the ones I recall were old and "Mean". I had a huge marble collection even up to 5 or 10 years ago. They still gotta be around here someplace.
I remember the ones you mentioned the catseyes and steelies and puries and rainbows. I don't recall that we even played very much, just carried our marble sacks around with pride and deep deep fear of them nuns.
I remember rulers and swatters/paddles with the holes in em. I was never on the receiving end but I surely witnessed several liberal applications on others. That was part of the punishment was getting it in front of everyone else. I shudder still thinking about it.
The head priest at the time was even scarier. I was so afraid of that guy, I'd literally tremble when he visited the classrooms. Course I was only like 6 -9 or so and couldn't legally conceal carry.

Nuns in the 50's. Get on their good side, no problems. Bad side......they can instill fear into the hearts and minds of adolescent boys. Man those rulers hurt bad!
