So how was the NRA show? Any reports? Any pics? Anything new and exciting?

It was a great show and extremely busy. I heard 70K visitors at the end of Saturday. Wow! I did not get to many other booths to look around, but did meet these fellows next door at Crimson Trace:

I am not photogenic. Bleh. Ashley and George were very nice, and I made sure to say a big thank you for their service to our country. Humble fellows too. I have a feeling the bravado from the show was producer driven, if you know what I mean.

I spent a lot of time talking with Justin Moon about the product line, how he developed them, and the acquisition of MRI. I also had a great opportunity to meet folks from Kahr and MRI, getting to know them and the roles they play in the company. This includes the various sales managers for the different regions of the country. Great folks at Kahr, and they are very oriented around producing a high quality product for the customer. It is a very different view than one gets from some companies where squeezing out every last cent of profit overtakes all concerns about quality.

So in short I had a lot of fun, and am looking forward to seeing everyone again next year when the NRA visits my home state of Missouri, and the great city of St. Louis! Blues and barbecue will be waiting for them! :biggrin1:

That's funny. On my cruise last year not one picture of me smiling. A guy in one of the little pubs we hung out on the boat asked my wife and kid if I didn't ever smile. My kid without missing a beat said that's his happy face right there, don't piss him off!

Well jocko, receding is one thing, but yours is the first hairline I've seen that's in full retreat. I thought you Eye-talains were supposed to be hairy. John, don't worry about a thing, just keep up the good work. On another note, it might be to Kahr's benefit if they would sneak over here some with the upper management from time to time. I'm sure they're big boys and girls, able to sort the wheat from the chaff and all (in jocko's case it's more like a cockleburr in the blanket though).

I can see the guilt, remorse and thought process's working trying to talk yourself out of a pinch.

I don't think this was a posed photo. They are in deep serious discussion. I see two possibilities. Johnh is looking for a raise. Or they are thinking what the heck do we do about this TucsonMTB situation.

I've been deeply worried about that myself. I hope my coveting my autographed poster of his wife didn't hit him the wrong way.

I can almost visualize John's body language, kind of a you want him to go quick and painless or kill him slow.

I might just go into hiding about now just to be safe.

What would we do around here without any horse head post cards? Not that I disagree with your statements but you have em over a barrel so to speak. Or maybe a feed trough would be a better word.

Yes, deep in conversation and the photographer took a stealthy shot without my knowing. I do smile now and then. Really. My kids can prove it, just ask them. I think the searious in pictures thing comes from my long line of hillbilly ancestors. We have lots of those old time Western photos in family albums where everyone is staring straight at the camera looking like the dust bowl just buried all our prime farm land. ;)
