Hello everyone. Name's Jeff.

I just picked up a new CW9 for CCW a few months ago and came accross Kahrtalk with a simple google search.

Despite a few oddities my CW9 has been good. Definitely a nice CCW pistol to carry.

So, yeah, just after I purchased the pistol and ran 50+ rounds through, upon disassembly I noticed the plastic striker spring guide was "squished" inbetween coils and broke further when I had to literally pull it apart from the striker spring.

The other weird thing, there was a thin- light green type of grease coating in the rear striker pin block valley. (It had seeped out after a few heat cycles) I went ahead and cleaned this and just put an external drop of light oil per Kahr. I think it should be fine?

Regardless - its still gone "bang" every time since. I've yet to try JHP ammo but that'll come soon.

Otherwise, I'm glad I found Kahrtalk. Tis' good to be here.

If it was me I wold call kahr and tell them about the striker spring and that striker guide rod being damage. Ask for a new one of each. That is one area that you want to be perfect That grease you are describing, WHO KNOWS. If youcleaned it good, now for sure keep that striker channel clean and dry. If u havenot founbd on thekahr tech section two great stickys

I second jocko on calling Kahr if you have not already done so.

I've since ordered and installed a new spring guide from Kahr. The spring will be soon as its OK still, but you're right about needing to be perfection.

Amazingly, the gun functioned fine, even in the original condition heh.
