Hi all, new member and proud new owner of a CW 9 here, first post every on the boards.

Just a quick range report for my new gun, purchased it about 1 week ago. Work flawlessly, no hick ups with the gun, was a beautiful day out so I decided to shot out doors at my range which is set at roughly 30 feet (10 yards) was as blast, shot 50 rounds of WWB FMJ 115 gr and 100 - 150 rounds of Federal FMJ 115 gr, no HP ammo yet, maybe next time. Shooting 10" shot-n-see targets was stop on, trigger was stupidly smooth.

Only one issue came up and it was purely my fault, tried to load a magazine and the first round was angled down and got stuck on the bottom of the feed ramp.

All in all good day and GREAT pistol.

nice report, now shoot it like u stole it

It is very easy to correct an issue that you create, just don't do it anymore.

Were you sling-shotting the slide, or using the slide release ?

I always try to sling shot my reloads if i can, i dont like using the slide release as i dont think its the most effective way.

well the most effective way is to use the slide lever release, as stated in kahrs manual. It is oK to hand rack, not saying that but kahrs are tight and by using the slide release lever u are releasing it every time with the same needed velocity to load that first round. Hand racking and possably riding that slide even a tad can produce exactly what you stated.

I have o doubt that after a hundred good rounds down range that the gun itself will smooth up even more, recoil springs will by then have thaken there predesigned set and you should be good to go.

Jocko sent you down the right path Sunnder ... my new CW9 has been flawless as long as I use the slide release. Good luck with yours !

Just had my second range session with mine and was flawless again with a total now of 341 rounds . I did take the advice to use the slide release and it worked fine every time. Wow does this thing conceal easy it just disappears.
