TGIF!

Received a Garrett Industries Silent Thunder Holster yesterday and it is excellent. I like the holster because it seems very well made and is comforrtable. The Jhook attachment option I chose is adjustable from 15 degrees forward cant to 15 degrees backward cant. I have mine adjusted with a slight forward cant have been wearing it AIWB.

The gun fits as it would in any fine leather holster. Nice and snug with smooth insertion and withdrawal. Here are some quick and dirty pics:

I have the slim version and I agree that Garrett Industries makes a great product. The extractor on my PM9 is chewing up the leather a bit, but otherwise it is a perfect fit.

I think these should be more popular than they are.

Does anyone know if he makes these for a PM9 with the Crimson Trace laser?

Gear: I communicated with Ron Garrett about the extractor drag and he will or has modified the blank to add clearance to that area. I already mentioned he will fix it for you if you request.

Willie: Congratulations on your new holster. I have one for my PM9 and I cannot imagine anything better (although it may be like your newborn). Should you extractor drag Ron will reform the Kydex for you in a heartbeat, it's a very quick procedure.

For others considering the ST take a look at the Silent Thunder Slideshow (http://s762.photobucket.com/albums/xx269/OldLincoln/Holsters/?albumview=slideshow) I put up (with permission).

I'm really impressed with the ST so far. As a matter of fact, I think, of the plethora of PM0 holsters I've accumulated, the ST is my best PM9 holster. The day I got the holster for my PM9 I ordered one for my G26, it's that impressive.

I know MikeyKahr has the slimline version also and he likes his too. Mine is the standard version.

I have a ST for a G19........great holster, but Kahr pistols have spoiled me. The Glock feels very thick no matter how I carry it.

I guess Glocks and Kahrs just offer different advantages. I have a G26 and it certainly is thick compared to the Kahrs, but it's a keeper anyway.

Yep, the Silent Thunder and PM9 are a great combo. Garrett is great to deal with, very personable and honest.

I've spoken with Mike Pillsbury a couple times and he's been very nice. Mike is Garrett's sales and marketing guy. Very helpful.

Mike is going to be starting a belt line in about a month. I asked him to be sure to let us know when the belts become available.

Thanks for the heads up about the belts Bill, glad to hear that you're liking your Silent Thunder - I knew you would. I'm on hiatus for a week and snuck off to check on the KahrTalk gang. Got on today - 1,298 unread threads since Friday. Gotta love it, this place just keeps going even when you're on vacation!

I do like it. I ordered the same holster for my G26. Should receive it tomorrow.

What is the grip on the gun in the photos?

Scott

I use AGrips on my grips Scott. It feels like suede and is plenty tough. You can get them from Kahr or Brooks Tactical. I got the grip on the PM9 from Kahr.

Willieboy, I noticed you have what look like A-grips on your PM9. How do you like yours? I've got those on my CW45 and they have made all the difference in the world in comfort and grip reliability for me. I don't even notice the aggressive checkering now on the rear grip that chewed up the web of my right hand.

I'm with you MrToad. The PM9 is the first gun I've had that caused blisters. I have the AGrips on a G26 and a KelTec P11 so knew they were the solution for the PM9. What amazes me about AGrip is how easy it installs. Five minutes and you get what looks like a professional job.
