[Get your mind out of the gutter.:)]
I was about to make a trip downtown carrying my Glock 26 AIWB when I remembered that my PM9 was good to go after yesterdays backyard shooting session. The gun was cleaned and I had 15 rounds of carry ammo left for carry. So I loaded up and away I went…
I used the pocket holster member toptog gave me. The rig dropped easily into the right front pocket of my Kirkland jeans. These are ample top cut pockets in which I can even carry my Glock 26 and in which my P3AT can swim. The draw from these jeans is easily executed smoothly and snag free.
I really felt comfortable carrying the PM9. More performance “comfortable” than my P3AT because I now had 7 rounds of Black Hills 124 +P ammo vs. 7 rounds of 90 grain something .380 (unlike 9mm I’ve never settled on a particular .380 defense round). More physically “comfortable” than my Glock 26 because the PM9 is smaller and lighter yet still handles the same 9mm SD rounds carried in my Glock. If more PM9 carry yields similar results and the gun remains reliable I can see the PM9 getting more carry than my P3AT and Glock 26 combined.
Just for ha ha I tried the PM9 AIWB (using the pocket holster). I was pleasantly surprised how comfortable it was and how little it printed. The PM9 in a decent appendix holster and a .380 in the pocket would, I believe, make a really nice civilian SD firearm combination.
Be safe,
