I'm starting a new thread because I took a different PM9 to the range today. Oh, the gun looked the same and it had the same serial number, but it was obvious from the first mag that the hand gun fairy had slipped into my safe last night and made the exchange.

I shot 50 rounds of Fiocchi HP [Fiocchi tends to run a bit hot], 50 of HST, and 50 rounds of Federal ball, the same ammo that was giving a problem the last time. FTFeed-0, FTE-0, Failure to lock back the slide-0; failures of any kind-0.

I had reattached the rear sight, and, unfortunately, didn't get it positioned just right because I was shooting an inch or so to the right at 7 yards. However in a defensive situation. that's still well within the center of mass, so I can live with it. I'll have to do so because it would take an air hammer to move it. After making the aiming adjustment, I even shot it a little better. Nearly every round in the 9 or 10 ring, with just the occasional stray drifting into the 8.

All in all, I am now totally satisfied with the PM9 and pronounce it 'ready for duty'.

That's great!

Uh, if I were shooting only an inch or so off POA @ 7 yards I'd be one happy camper. Good for you.

And here I thought you had solved the problem of people slipping into your safe. Oh, just the good people can get in now? Very sophisticated system.

Still, be nice to that fairy. Look what happened to the planet after we pissed off Mother Nature.

My problems with bad people were all before I got the safe. ;)

I glad things have improved with your PM9 O'Dell. How did you reattach and secure the rear sight?

Close enough! Just my two cents worth, but I'll bet you won't have any more difficulties and it is easy to reapply if needed. :)

Glad you got your PM9 working.

It should have left the factory that way the first time. I'm very happy with my PM9 and MK9, but the former took some smithing to get it right.
