MW Surveyor and I went shooting again and I thought I'd give you guys an update.
MV showed off his shooting skills with his new PO 1911. A beautiful gun and MV absolutely drilled his targets.
I shot another 100 trouble free rounds through my PM9 bringing the total rounds to 800. No malfs of any kind and the groups continue to improve. Unfortunately, the groups remain to the left of the bull.
I also shot another 100 rounds through the K9 bringing the total rounds through this gun to 300. I don't believe I've had a single malf with this gun.
The weather was great for exhibiting some bare ankles but alas, the pinkings were slim.

Bill -
I posted my target results in the 1911 forum and my shame in the reloading forum. Yea, the ankles were pretty sparse today.
You know if you maybe just aim to the right a little bit? :) The sight could be off for you, but drifting it over could be problematic. (look a big word)

Try a little more finger on the trigger too. Might pull it over a bit.
I think you just need to focus and get your minds off them ankles in the next lane and things would improve immensely. Course who would really care?

I'll gladly try a little more finger on the trigger. Using just the first pad, my finger gets pinched between the bottom of the trigger and the trigger guard.

I had to drift the rear sight of my PM9 to the right a little to center targets.

as I am a left hander, my pM9 rear sight is drifted to the left to offset my horrible shooting.

How did you guys drift your sights? Did you use a sight adjustment tool or just give them a whack?

Bill,
I'd give them a whack (but not too much) with a brass punch after making an alignment mark with a pencil or something that you can remove. If you want to wait about 3 weeks (after I come back from Mexico), I'll be glad to bring a punch to the range. This time I'll bring a hammer instead of having to use the brick. :)

Before you drift your sights to compensate for your shooting, try adjusting one more thing about your trigger finger first.

Jeep45238 posted this video in the K9 forum (http://kahrtalk.com/showthread.php?t=5038 post #8) and it has helped me. I have big hands (XL-XXL gloves) and have always shot left regardless of the gun until now. By letting my first knuckle relax, I now pull straight back on the trigger instead of pulling back on its left edge. Maybe that will help.
