I am a new member to the Kahr forum so I thought I would post a photo of my PM9 with my new Crossbreed MiniTuck holster for the PM9 with Crimson Trace Laserguard.

Nice gun and holster. I carry in a comp-tac. How do you like your holster? Also, what the heck is that thing on your slide?

Holster is very interesting. I was wondering the same about the thing on the slide. Is that something that comes with the holster to help keep it secured or....., it just occured to me, is that one of those clips that allows you to tuck the gun in your waist band (without holster) and keeps it in position. Kinda like you would find on a knife...?

Did you drill and tap the slide to install? Hmmm.... not sure I would want to do that...

That clip on the side of the slide is called a clipdraw. It's so you can tuck the gun in your pants without a holster and keeps it in place. It attaches with very strong double sided tape which can easily be removed without damage to the gun. I think the site is clipdraw.com.

How long have you CC'd with the Crossbreed Mini Tuck? I am leaning towards it.

I have used two other CB holsters for many years and I have around 30 handguns and holster for each, and in many cases multiple holsters so I know a comfortable holster when I wear one and the Crossbreed is as comfortable as a IWB holster can be for extended carry.

I have used this older style CB Supertuck holster for 2 years with my CW40 and its by far the most comfortable for this handgun. If you plan to carry for more than a couple of hours the CB is the way to go because it speads/distributes the weight of the gun so well. They are not the best looking style of holster but they are very practical and comfortable and that has a beauty all its own.

So the two screws going into the slide from the clip are just for looks?

The universal clip draw is installed this way. A base plate is adhered with 3m tape to the silde, the clip is then fastened to the base plate only, not to the slide. No screws, holes or any alterations at all to the slide. You can take it off anytime you like an the pistol is back to OEM. It adheres very well and will not come off unless you really want to remove it. The clip draw is used as just another carry option for tucking the gun in your wasit band or pocket for a quick run out to the mail box or taking the dog out to do his business or just around the home or yard carry. It works very well for this type of use. I do not use it as a subsitute for a real holster for extended carry. But that being said it fits very snugly in the waist band of your pants and will not fall out even under stress, you can run and jump around with this mount in your waist band and the gun stays put. When holstered it does not interfer at all with holstering or presentation of the handgun in any way. The slight weight of clip draw does not cause any functioning issues at all with the slide/gun. Personally, I would only use the clip draw on a small light carry gun like the PM9 or LCP, Kel Tec not a full size handgun.
