I was wondering if any of you guys who carry an extra clip in ther pocket did you buy some kind of a magazine cap. I notice on mine that I started collecting lint at the magazine lip and the first load. I was thinking of looking for a rubber cap to prevent this from happening, any thoughts?

yes i carry a spare mag for my pm45 in a pocket. i uasally wear carpenter jeans and one of side pockets are pecfect instead of mag pouch on belt IMO. i do get lint and other debris being a general contractor, i clean my pistol and spare mag every couple of days. pistol collects lint and other stuff even if it hasen't been fired. a dust cover would make for a slower reload if ever needed.

I have one from each of these guys, both are well made and affordable, but Bear Creek ships faster. To find the mag holsters; go to the photo galleries:

It would be nice if they allowed us to wear cargo or carpenter jeans but we are only allowed to wear "dress jeans" (or whatever they call them). Yep, and I agree it would be slower to reload when removing the cap but I'd hate to have a jam from a fuzzball ;) . New jeans tend to have plenty of that! The guys at work use pouches which are even more slower when it comes to reload.
I have been placing the clip with the load up (base down) when possible but the clip tends to end up sideways.

Khars don't use clips, FYI. A magazine is not the same as a clip. :)

I just looked at a site a CAPLUGS and a 1" diameter vinyl plug will fit the magazine since the circumference is 3.25". it will conform to the shape. see pic.

Hmm, my kahr uses a clip. Actually it uses both. Somedays it's a clip, some days its a mag. Some days it the little thingy that holds them little bullets hopefully with the pointy ends towards the front.
I'm all about correct.
M1 Garands rock.

No wonder I'm so confused. In boot camp (Paris Island 1962) we were issued M14s. God forbid you called the magazine a clip. Then for Basic Infantry Training we were issued M1s. God forbid you called the clip a magazine. After that is was back to the M14.

in boot camp at fort leanodrwoord, if u called ur MI a "gun", I seen many of soldiers walking down the firing line with his di-k in one hand and his M1 n the other. I need not tell you what he had to say, as i am sure you have all heard or seen it before. Nice thing about it though, was it took just a few fokk ups to convince our whole company that it was in deed not a GUN. We never seen the M14 until our last week of boot camp and then it was only to see it and never fire it.

For What Ever its worth. Got out an old cell phone case that you clip on your belt and is a pocket with a magnetic lock flap. Works great with my small/flush PM40 mags.

I'm wondering if there exists a magazine case that has a clip so you can have it inside your pocket without it moving around or popping out any rounds. I remember blackhawk making a similar type of mag for a double stack magazine. Might even consider getting a Comptac mag carrier and carry outside with a shirt covered like I do for my glock.

I had an issue with my PM9 spare mags loosing rounds even in a mag pouch. I replaced the mag springs with Wolff extra power springs, and have had no further issues.
To the OP:
I use this simple leather pouch from JS Holsters for my PM9 spare mags in my back pocket:

So with the new springs were you able to carry your extra mags in your pocket without a pouch? The fifth pocket on my jeans make a perfect fit with the exception of popping out a few rounds from walking around.

ur gonna loose rounds without a pouch, Kahr mags son't operate like most other magazines, but to carry one in thepocket loosely willgather also carpola that should not be in the magazine. so pouch it and be safe..
