View Full Version : Ruger SR9c Replaced!
Now don't get me wrong...I absolutely love my Ruger SR9c; I used the Ruger for the shooting portion of my CWP course and shot a remarkable 1 inch group at 15 yards. However, for conceilability's sake I had to replace her with the Kahr CM9. I may still carry the Ruger SR9c for nostalgia's sake but my go to is the CM9! Most of you saw my previous post "CM9 Trigger Mod (Cosmetic)". I've put some cosmetic dressing on the new CM and I carry it in a Don Hume IWB holster that's made for the MK9. One day I was leaving the house and looking for my gun and thought I lost it; I must've looked for the weapon for 15 minutes or so before I realized the darn thing was on my hip:ohmy:. You really do forget you're wearing it....PERFECTION!:)
Feel free to share your stories....

Nice when you forget your gun is on your hip. That's a good thing.
I went to hit the shower last night (true story)bi monthly. Couldn't figure out why I was having trouble getting my left pant leg off.
My PM45 was in its customary ankle holster position causing an obstruction.
Oh well.
Now wheres my glasses, nope not on forehead?

Wow!! That's hilarious...Sometimes I have to remember to take it out of the holster when I go into the P.O.!! Proper concealability...a gift and a curse! lol

I'm bummed out. I might start working for the P.O.(2nd interview next week) and can't carry! That's just not right.
Back on track...I don't have a funny story, but the CM9/PM9 is perfect for CCW!
You're right that is not right but I'd still carry in the holster just to be an A-hole about it! :D

You are correct in that it's not right. My mom carried the mail for 30 + years. She was a very creative woman during that time and her personal vehicle wasn't parked very far from her mail truck. Once out of the building just about anything could happen.
I've often thought and I mentioned my idea to crazymailman that postal carriers should be equiped with radios and allowed to carry if they desire. No one knows more about what goes on in a neighborhood than the mailman, mailwoman, mail person?????
I figure they would make a good extra set of eyes for daytime burglaries etc strictly on a volunteer basis if they want. Just to report not engage ya know?
Course they are also pressed for time and don't have alot of slack time to waste but they see alot.
Anybody seen my Cbob? it's usually on my right hip. Aww disregard it's there. Stupid me.

The Constitution should trump everything and it doesn't limit my 2A rights. Or is there an amendment that I don't remember?

The way things are going I think the Constitution is considered an hysterical artifact. That rule book got tossed. Until we get a whole new flock of representatives including an American CIC that can read preferably english I don't see any improvement in the near future.
As long as I've totally jacked this thread (I'll put it back in a minute) I took the civil service test many years ago to be a mailman. This was right after they lowered the standards so that everyone could be a mailman like so many other things. I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer but the test was so insanely stupidly easy that a mediocre 3rd grader should have been able to pass after a night of binge drinking. We're talking round peg in square hole easy.
Incidently I was wearing my Colt Cobra (cat gun) when I took the test in the federal building. Forgot I had it on.
See I stayed on track.

LOL! He's probably reporting the whole bunch of us!

Quick, somebody tell me what the heck cognitive means. I hear federal prisons are pretty plush but I'd just as soon not find out just cause I had a cognitive defiencely, try spelling that big ole word once real fast.

Don't be alarmed...ATF is just the initials to my real name. I do work for the FBI though! lol j/k;) Or it could stand for "A True Friend" :p

I like it. Lets run with "A True Friend".
We had some ATF and FBI folks in the office here a couple months back. They looked almost human in most respects. Almost like real people.:cheer2:

What holster did you get for the SR9c? I ordered a don hume off of their website like 50 weeks ago (hyperbole)...really it was 5 weeks ago and I still don't have it; it's schedule for the end of May. I've been carrying it in a paddle holster which is just nasty to conceal that way.

I too have both a CM9 and an SR9c. I bought a Kholster crescent moon for IWB and sometime use a cheap Blackhawk IWB when I need to throw on something quick. The Kholster is top-notch and very comfy when broken in.

Here lately, I have just been pocket carrying my CM9 w/CT in a Blackhawk #3 pocket holster. Fits perfectly.
