Well, after 41 days, I received my holster. The fit and finish are superb. The holster is very thin and light and the kydex is comfortable. I expected to have to put some moleskin on it, but I don't think I'll have to. This holster rides higher than my High Noon Hidden Ally so I can get a better grip on the gun. The only advantage to the Hidden Alley so far is that I don't have to wear a belt with it. So, now I have 2 great choices for my PM9 with CT laser.

Looks good Melissa. Looks like it snaps in and holds on the slide stop pin as well as the trigger guard for retention. I like the high ride so you can get a grip on it.
Looks like it would work anywhere from appendix carry to strong side or whatever a person wanted.
Wear it some and give us another report, I'm curious how that Kydex rides on the body after wearing it for awhile.
I think my PM45 would look good in one of those.

You attribute now needing a belt to the lower ride of the Hidden Ally or the larger clip?

I don't need a belt with the Hidden Ally because it is lower riding and the clip is not a J-hook. The Offside definitely needs a belt or it falls out of your pants. That could be attributed to my muffin top though. :o

"This holster rides higher than my High Noon Hidden Ally so I can get a better grip on it."

Melissa, I've never had an issue with gripping any of my holsters. :D

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Bill K.

PS. Still waiting for USPS to do the pickup my order from Alabama Holsters.

Looks over all like a very nice design. However, I think an improvement would be to cut a belt loop relief in the center of the hook. On some pants a belt loop will wind up just where you don't want it to be for ideal positioning of the holster.

Again, nice pics.

Stinker! :7: Be sure to write a review once you receive your pocket holster.

The retention is great...not too tight, but the gun will not fall out of the holster either. Once you started pushing the gun in the holster, it's almost like is sucks it in the rest of the way...like a magnet.

Thanks, Bill! That would be a great improvement. :cheer2:

I'm 31 days into my wait for the "Hooker" model. A holster named the "Hooker" simply had to come to Daddy.

OK, I've been wearing this holster for a few days and have a few notes to add.

I still find it to be very comfortable, but on a hot day, it sticks to my belly. Guess that won't be a problem for you guys that wear undershirts. I guess that happens with leather also.

If you get it positioned just right on top of a bone, it pokes a little bit.

I still don't think it needs moleskin. The edges of the holster are very smooth.

So, I'm still very happy with the holster and if I needed another kydex holster, I would wait another 40 something days for an Alabama holster.

Melissa,
Thanks for the update. Do you wear it in the 1:00 position?

It took me all of 1.5 minutes from reading about the price of these holsters to jump on one for my S&W 6906 9mm. Its been difficult for me to find a good holster for him. I am excite. :)

Sonofodin, where have you been hiding? I thought you left us, which would have been a loss.

Melissa,
Thanks for the update. Do you wear it in the 1:00 position?

Yes, 1 to 2 o'clock seems to work best for me. It depends on where my belt loops are.

Just wanted to update this thread again. I was going to sell The Offside because it rode higher than I liked, but Greg told me to send it back and he could put a lower riding attachment on it. Once again, I'm very impressed by the customer service that I've received from Greg at Alabama Holster. He very promptly answered my email and suggested a great solution to my problem. I thought I would have to order a whole new holster and wait another 45 days.

Edit: After re-reading this thread, I just asked Greg if he could cut a belt loop relief on the j-hook. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Another good recommendation! It looks like it is tuckable. Is it? I wish it were canted a bit. Do you think Greg would do that?

You know, FIST Holsters has a similar product, the #K4 - KYDEX TUCKABLE (http://www.fist-inc.com/holsters/k1/K4.htm). The attachment point is not offset, but what I really like is the ultra thin Kydex (http://www.fist-inc.com/holsters/k1/gen.htm) that they use. Here's a picture:

Aw, forget that! I just found my holster! This tuckable offside holster is SO right! It is expensive and can be customized, including exotic skins. Here is the web link: H.B.E. Specialty Leatherworks (http://www.hbeleatherworks.com/). This site has dozens of pages of nice pictures. Here are a couple of the Pro TL Tuckable IWB Holster I am interested in:

UPDATE: I just placed my order with Eric for one of these in in black, left hand, with a band at the top to help with reholstering. I talked with him on the phone and left him my contact information. He said he will call me in 3-4 months, we'll make payment arrangements, and he will get the holster made and delivered to me in a couple of weeks, or so. He said he will give me the top band for free ($10) and it will be $119, which includes shipping.
