After 250 initial flawless rounds, the slide of my PM45 started to ride up over, instead of stripping the first round from a magazine probably 50% of the time. Always the first round and always using the slide release. Also, one time in those 250 rounds the slide went fully back to battery with a round in the chamber, but with the trigger not reset. I sent the gun back to Kahr. They sent it back with the note "Inspected gun. Polished feed ramp, extractor, slide, ejector. Replaced recoil spring, magazine. Lubed, test fired. Good." I have put 250 rounds through it since getting it back. The slide or reset issues haven't happened again, but out of those 250 rounds I have had three light primer strikes with 2 different brands of ammo. The gun was clean, including flushing the striker hole with non-chlorinated brake cleaner. Any ideas? I really like this weapon and want to get it running reliably.

3 out of 250 may sound OK but it is not, especially light strikes. It is even hard to diagnose with only 3 light strikes. Is the slide going fully into battery???when you get those light strikes can u then tap the back of the slide and it seems to move forward a tad?.

Agreed, 3 out of 250 is not OK. The slide seems to be fully forward. Maybe it is a fraction of a millimeter off, but i could sense no forward movement when I pushed. There is a ding in the primer, but not enough to ignite. Can the striker release if it's not 100% in battery.

Boiled down to the essentials, it sounds as if there may be a trigger bar problem - bar or spring, that did not get caught at Kahr, and you're still experiencing it.
You had a failure to reset, but they did not address the fire control parts. This suggests that they were not able to reproduce the problem. Since a similar problem, the light hits, is recurrent, you may wish to bring this up further with Kahr.

Welcome to the forums:)
I see you have flushed the striker hole. Have you broken the top end down and given it an in-depth cleaning?

After you flushed the striker channel, you didn't happen to lube the striker channel did you?
I got light strikes from doing that. Then I found this site and learned not to do that.

I have seen the instructions on the forum here, but I have not. Is it something the average amateur can easily do? It looks fairly simple.
Light strikes - can think of three things that would cause it:
From simple to complex:
Dirty top end
Not fully into battery
Trigger bar needs adjustment/replacement
Ok, a 4th one... striker nose/sear worn, but thats not likely at all... its a tough part

It's not that difficult to do, but be careful as some parts are under spring tension.
