Hey guys.. just thought i would give u a little update, last i posted i had purchased an used pm9 with a va ser number that was not functioning up to par.. ended up bringin it back to kesselrings and they gave me my money back.
Sooo i thought that would be my last encounter with the pm9 (since they seem very hard to find round these parts) but luck struck and another local gunshop had a brand new one for 20.00 more then wat i paid for the used one! Jumped on it as soon as i saw it.
Brought it home, took it apart, cleaned, lubed, and racked the slide about 300 times (which was a pain in the a$$) and took the little beauty out!! I only shot a box and a half but it functioned flawlessly! Not one hiccup. And compared to my cw40 it is a pleasure to shoot. So another 100 rounds or so and its gonna be my summer ccw. Another satisfied pm9 owner...
not sure why all these ppl are goin out spendin 7 or 8 hundred on the sig or kimber when u can get the pm/ cm9 for less and they have been doin it for ten years so in my eyes is a little more proven as far as quality and reliability.
Happy shooting!

it just seems to take some time for people to stumble over to kahrs but once their it seems many of their other ":fine" guns take a back seat to ccw. We're patient here, WEknow they will come to us in time.:third:

I'm a SIG fan but passed on the 290 after shooting a PM9. I found a used PM40 and couldn't be happier. May have to get a P or CM9 soon also.

Ya im sure now that the pocket nine scene is starting to blow up i think we will be seeing more kahrs pop up. The biggest problem about it ( from the dealers point of view ) is the price. I have asked why the kahrs arent so popular around here and the most common answer i get is the price. But seeing what the other brands are selling theres for, maybe it wont be a big deal anymore. I for one think they are worth it.
JOE- ya i wasnt trying to say the sig and kimber are bad guns, i just think its too early to tell and the kahrs have been around for a while. I mite be buyin a cm9 too if i ever stumble on one :)

Glad you are having success with the new PM9. Had mine for about two years with only one or two failures to lock back after the last round is fired, but only when using WWB ammo. Looked at the Sig P290. Did not like it although my favorite handgun is the P226 Enhanced Elite. The litte 9mm sig is not comfortable in the hand. Only carry 9 I would possibly swap for my Kahr is the new Kimber Solo.

kimber solo for this guy, I don't like the 90% precocked thing in my pocket. I don't particulary care if the trigger travel is 2 miles long, Just kinda scary for this ol timer..

I broke my local FFL's heart when I got my PM45. He's a small time but moves alot of guns and trys hard. Hes also after my officers business so he trys to price right. When I decided I wanted a PM45 I asked him to get me one at our local gunshow. His response was I didn't want one of those they are sooooo expensive. My reply ok. Went home ordered it from Bud's.
When it came time for the Cbob he did the same thing and tried to talk me into something else. My mind was made up. Bought one on line.
That was close to a year ago. A couple months ago I was looking at something on his table and he said I should get it, I hadn't had a new toy in a long time. As luck would have it I had all my new toys that he said were sooo expensive on me (tied of course). So I had show and tell with him much to his surprised and dissapointed reaction.
I suspect next time I ask him to get me something I'll get a totally different response. What do you think?

I seldom get the sales pitch, then again, I walk in and say I'll take one of those right 'cher. I've had a couple try it, and they seem to lose business after that, funny how things work like that.
