I got to shoot an Uzi on full auto last week. I've always wanted to shoot one of these babies, though. Just ONE box, though....and that would last how many seconds? 3 or 4?

Shoots sweet! I haven't tried any precise target work with it yet, just let 'er rip on some silhouettes. :D The thud of .45 going down the barrel and through the compensator is like a moaning multiple orgasm. :D
As far as the drum - I'm in Ohio. A gun w/ a magazine over 30 rounds is considered a 'machine gun', regardless of it's operation. My drum's a 10 rounder. It came w/ the gun and I haven't shot with it. The stick mag is easier to load, higher capacity, and easier for my short arms to reach around to get to the foregrip.

For clarity, mine's semi-auto. I've never shot a full auto firearm. :(

Nice Buckeye. I nearly fell over the first time I picked mine up, unbelievable how heavy those things are.
I bought a replacement buttstock and cut a full inch and a half off in about 3/8" cuts to accomodate my short arms. Had to make my own buttplate. I didn't want to ruin the original. I also put a horizontal forearm which I like with the sticks but not so hot with the drum. Guess I was wanting the Saving Private Ryan Look. Hope the Zoot shooters don't put a contract on me.
I have the 50 round drum but I've never shot it either. The sticks are so much easier. I do want to do like Ghost Soldier did and modify my mag catch so I don't have to ruin GI mags to make them work.
I like your case too. Pretty cool.

The full auto "tommy" is probably the most controllable gun of its type, owing to its extreme forward weight. Once you get it going, it more or less floats - its natural drop is just about equally offset by the recoil jump. It hangs there. Love'm to shoot, terrible to carry (too damn heavy).

The little Ingram MAC-11/380 was also a fun gun, IF, you had the forward strap adjusted tight on your support hand, AND, you had a barrel extension or SIONICS firmly attached. Shooting it full auto, one handed was a joke, and shooting it full auto without a barrel extension was a recipe for becoming fingerless on the support hand.

The M-14 is not controllable in full auto. Thats why most had lockouts. No love lost there, its a better semi-auto than burst gun.

The M-16 is a good rifle in full auto. The FAL is... better than the M-14, not nearly as nice as the M-16.

Thats all I got to shoot, except for a little SIONICS equipped shorty 10/22 full auto that a guy had one day in the range. All you could hear was the clank of the bolt and thwack on the backstop. Amazing.

"Tommyporn!" :D

She's a beaut....the centerfold (violin case) is the best picture! ;)

Now, you've gotta get that 10.5" barrel, and join up with Big Al and the gang! :)

Love it, especially the case. Back when I was in the Navy in off time, we used to check out a couple of Thompsons from the armory and all the 45 we could carry and go back to the rear open portion of the hanger deck. [ where they tested the engines] We would throw anything that would float into the wake and blast away.

MAN, that is SWEET!!! I'd love to shoot ANYTHING full auto sometime. I guess they have this kit now for the M16 clones that turn them into close to full auto. Fires pretty rapidly anyway. One of our indoor gun ranges used to rent full auto Uzi's and Macs, but I think they stopped when they changed owners. Should have rented one when I had the chance.

i have been fortunate... the indoor range i have been going to for the past year or so has guys come in with full autos every so often.. fun stuff for sure, the tommy i shot was one of the models with the side bolt, boy was it fast. 20 rounds was like.. whoa, its done!, whereas the ump 45 was much slower by comparison but also fun, :33:
unfortunately i missed the m16 and the belt feds one day

i just wish it was affordable to own one
