I decided I didn't like or need the Pearce mag extensions, but rather than throw them out, I cut them down and refit them to my CM9. The sheet metal mags are an eyesore to an otherwise beautiful gun. Better looking though fractionally longer than the originals.

Did you cut them or sand them down?

I used a small cut off wheel on my Foredom flex shaft following a traced line. Finished it up on a sanding wheel just deep enough to remove any imperfections and the Pearce insignia. (Too much friction does more melting than sanding.) Then rounded the edges and flats with 600, finally 1500.

Nice work. One question, though - how easy is it to remove the magazine if you have to strip it out (double-feed malfunction)?

If you had to force a stuck mag, Kahrs all seem to have a pretty big gap between bottom of grip and mag plate to get your fingers into. Otherwise no different than the original ones.
