I just bought a PM9 that had the trigger spring *Edit-It's the trigger pin retaining pin* sticking out into the trigger guard area (attached pic is not mine but the same problem). I was able to push it back flush with the plastic but am unsure if it will come out again. This is my second PM9, my original one has a little bulge there but nothing is sticking out yet. Is this a known problem, and is there a fix? I did some searching but didn't find anything.

never seen this before, I would be surprised if pushing it back keeps it from coming back out. I would call kahr and talk to eion or jay and if you can send them this photo so they can view it. Get their advice onit. If it needs to go back make sure the pick up the shipping tab both ways. sumpin ain't right. Or if u bought it from a local dealer, let them handle it for u. on their dime.

I just sent them an email. Hopefully it's something they can fix. Both were purchased used, so the burden will be on me to convince them to take care of it.

Are you sure it's the trigger spring? The posted photo seems to show the pin that keeps the trigger pivot pin in place sticking out of the frame. If it is that pin: make sure the pivot pin is flush up on the right side of the frame, then push/tap the protruding pin back into the frame. As long as the fit felt snug when putting the pin back in place I doubt you will have any further problems with it, but check it now and again as part of routine maintenance.

Greg

I have to go with GB here, though that picture is a little hard to tell if it is spring or pin (depth doesn't show well in it). If it is that pin, push it back, if it feels firm you're done. If not, figure out how to get it back out, then apply some super glue to it and reinstall.

Shouldn't you be able to see both ends of the trigger spring from the top with the slide off? If both ends are accounted for then it has to be the retainer pin.

Good eye guys. The picture just wasn't very clear but what you said make perfect sense. Easy fix.

indeed the photo is not very inclusive. if it is the retainerr pin, just a tap with a small punch will drive it rght backin place and it will stay there. It looked tome like it was close to thetri8gger itself which wouldmean it is notthe retainer pin b ut also ifit was the trigger spring, then he shouldghave been havi8ng some trigger reset issues. I am more inclined now to think it is the retain pin,but it sure hasmoved out alot. I never seen on out that far.

after again looking at the photo, I feel it is the retainer pin as they are black where the trigger spring is silver in color.

Retainer pin. Try to make it flush as possible and maybe a touch of Super Glue... or just watch it for further movement. You don't want the trigger pivot pin to start moving out the other side... been there, done that, posted a thread with pictures:

the super glue is a good idera, while the pin is out that far, then just drive it back until it is flush with the polymer frame..

I put it into the trigger pivot pin hole, as well.

Yes, retainer pin makes sense. Looking inside the frame it would appear that the lower end of the trigger spring is in the trigger itself. I just couldn't explain what was sticking out, but a retainer pin makes sense. I pushed it back up in there and it seems to be saying put, but I think I'll follow the advice and add a dab of super glue.

Thanks guys.

I had the same problem. I pushed it up with a flat bladed screw driver, cleaned it with Polymer Safe Gun Scrubber, and used a spot of Super Glue. Worked fine.
