I added another 22lr to my posse. I have an early 70's Ruger Standard and I purchased a Browning BuckMark yesterday.
I put about 200 rounds through it yesterday without a hiccup.
I was going to get another Ruger but the Browning just felt amazing in my hand.

This is the model I purchased (http://www.browning.com/products/catalog/firearms/detail.asp?value=006B&cat_id=051&type_id=442&content=buck-mark-stainless-camper-firearms)

I'm a big Buckmark fan. Good choice whether plinking for fun or doing some serious target work. My Field 5.5 has one of the nicest triggers I've found on a mass production pistol. Enjoy your new Browning.

I've got several Rugers and one Buck Mark. Tough call which is better, but if there's a slight edge it goes to the Buck Mark.

I love my Buckmark. It's shoots much better than I can. I still want that S&W model 617 though so I can shoot shorts and not have the neighbors calling in. Although the house is in a rural area, we're restricted to shotguns for varmit dispatching since the damned city annexed us and raised our taxes without giving us any benefits. Oh now we're protected by Barney Fife and company instead of the County Sheriff.
The city police have had some real winners on the force. They had some kind of petty criminal on the force for awhile, until someone dropped a dime on him. And they had the BTK strangler living in their jurisdiction, working right out of city hall in code enforcement. Working with the cops everyday.

Buckmarks are the best .22lr pistols available in the "sane priced" market.
After that its into the ~$1k 41s and Berettas ...and I like my Bucky better than either of those finiky things.

The "Heggis Flip" made a night and day difference in my pistol's trigger.

I emailed Rusty to get one of the BMT's...do you know if it has the hex for the barrel?

No, it doesn't. You need a 7/64" hex for that one.

Got an email from Rusty and ordered a BMT powder-coated in Orange...looks like a great tool for the BuckMark. He also offers other parts for the gun too ..
