I cannot fight it. I cannot resist it. I am a hopeless immature goof with no money and, unless I'm dead, I'm going to buy another gun soon. I must compensate for not being rapture up. I am soooooo bad!

This crap happens to me all the time. Good luck man, I haven't found the cure.

People say it's the Gun Bug, but they're wrong. It's not a bug, it's a disease. Sometimes it may go into remission, but you still have it and it always attacks again later.

Thanks Jimbar, now I have a Ruger Vaquero to add to my growing list of possibilities. Beautiful gun.

I have it narrowed down to a G19, TC Contender in .357, Beretta 21 A in Inox and now the Ruger Vaquero in .357.

A friend of mine has a Beretta 21 in .22, and it's not been a reliable weapon. Tends to jam a lot and I mean A LOT, like every other mag. My Beretta 3032 has been much less finicky, is about the same size, and comes with a little more power in .32. But it's not totally reliable, it get's what I think they call rim lock once in awhile where the top cartridge's rim hangs up on the cartridge below it. That can be avoided by unloading the mag and reloading it after it's been jostled around.
For the ladies, (and old farts like me) the tip up barrel is a great feature that allows you to put one in the chamber without racking the slide, which is pretty stiff on these little guys, with not much to get ahold of.
I was just thinking.. I might be willing to part with my 3032. It's blue, though. Have 3 mags, 1 still in the wrapper. It's in real good shape, I'd say 95%, has a few wear marks, no rust. If interested PM me and I'll send photos. It was mostly used back before we had CC permits to slip in my pocket to check out ladies rooms on the Interstates at night before I sent my girls in. Probably has about 200-300 rounds through it. I'm the original owner.

I totally agree. It`s a disease that`s treatable but has no cure.I`m starting to get the symptoms myself. They started at the last gun show I attended when a SIG .45 started her siren`s song.It haunts me.It haunts me.

I gave in to the disease this week and ordered a Colt Defender 9mm. So, now I have to sell a couple at the next gun show.

It's done. Decided on the G19. Jocko made me do it.

“Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Matthew 26:41 :banplease:

Congrats on the G19, great choice for a full size if Glocks knock your socks off.

Thanks for reminding me of that verse Mickey. I suppose this passion for spending money on myself is some form of idolatry.

Not necessarily idolatry, Bill. Depends on what you're attributing "worth" to in the purchase. Didn't mean to jump on ya with the good book, just came to my mind! I'm just as guilty if not moreso.

We're okay Mikey. I thought about it myself but was too weak to resist.

I too have this curse-ed disease. I will scratch the itch, and soon too me thinks. I need my daughters rifle, and I'm thinking of a Marlin 30/30 too. I need another shotgun too. Crap a flare up, my wife hates this illness (she thought I was done for awhile, only she thought wrong, I never said that, I said I was done on the pistol side for a bit).

I hadn't bought a new gun in years. I was happy with what I had. Then I found KahrTalk and off I went again. Three new guns since the first of the year. I really need to get my head examined.

I just gave in to the voices that have been screaming in my head for years. No, it's not a Kahr. But the cool factor is definitely high. Just working on all the FFL and shipping factors and will hopefully be putting some rounds downrange next weekend. Rossi Model 92 Ranch Hand in .38/.357. And yes, it's manufactured and registered as a handgun.
Personally, I don't consider it a disease. I consider it being a true American Patriot. Here I am expressing my right to keep and bear arms while helping to stimulate the U.S. economy. I'm purchasing from a small, local (Gunbroker seller 6 hours away in my home state) business, and supporting a great FFL holder in my local community.
Of course my fiance's reaction will be a shrug of the shoulders, shake of the head, and comment along the lines of "why do you need another gun". She just doesn't understand my form of "Patriotism".

Puma I believe makes something like that. I looked hard at them awhile ago, never did go for it. Didn't they call those a mares leg or something. By western terminology is weak today. Been working hard, I'm beat.

Now I gotta go look again, see what you guys do to me?

Yes Bawanna. Mares Leg is still one of the common names although I think there are some copy right infringements if used. The Puma import was always a bit pricey around $1200. Rossi is greatly undercutting at MSRP around $529. I paid $459 + $14 (for credit card) + $27(state sales tax) + $20 (shipping) + $25 (FFL). So basically MSRP. They started popping up late last year although still hard to come by locally. Rossi is also the only variant in .38/.357. My justification was that I had a couple boxes of shells and reloading dies (from the uncle I got my first press from) but no firearms to use any of it. The truth is, I just really, really wanted one.:p

If it helps any I really really want one too and at that price maybe I can get one someday. Your right the PUma was big bucks. I'd prefer a 45 Colt myself but I got lots of 38/357 brass too so either would be fine and dandy with me.

They sure do have a cool factor to me. Make my britches, well ya know.
