So I'm heading to Spokane tomorrow and although I had intentions to get my Washington conceal permit, I haven't yet. We'll be driving on the Oregon side until we get to Umatilla, where we'll cross over. I would like to still take my weapon so how what do I need to do once I cross over into Washington. We're traveling with 3 kids, so I don't want to just leave it out in the open. I'm hoping I don't have to leave it home.

The way I read the rules, it is illegal for anyone to have a loaded pistol in a vehicle, who does not have a conceal-carry license. Maybe someone else can elaborate more.

I've been doing some research and I believe if I take my nano vault 300, unload my CM9, place the unloaded CM9 and lock it in the vault, and either use it's locking cable to hide and lock it under the seat in the back, or bury it in my luggage in the back. Then take the rounds out of the mags and lock them up in my locking glove box up front, I'll be ok.
