Hi all,
I have been browsing the site for a good few months trying meticulously to do my due diligence prior to making my first concealed carry purchase.
I am pleased to say that i have just picked up my new CW9 pistol from Lowpriceguns.com (its physical location is close to me) and i am extremely pleased with the process and the gun itself!
After much debate i also ordered a Remora #6 RFT concealed holster (after much reading on here so thanks!)
Just need to do the good old 'Jocko clean' tomorrow and hopefully some time at the range! Loving the sizing of it and the overall feel.... looking forward to seeing how it performs on the range!
Thanks for all the insight and knowledge, its forums like these that can irradiate the impulse mistakes with its in-depth reviews and call it like it is mantra.
Good work!

we do try to be honest and fair and balanced. Take your time with it, and get rounds down range, the gun willget smoother even. start close 7 yards, get to know the looooong but smooth trigger system..

Welcome to Kahrtalk!
Best of luck with your new CW9. Would you share with us why the CW9 over the PM9 and CM9? Nowadays the CM9 seems to be the hot ticket item.
Oh, very nice photo.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your purchase. Hope it proves to be troublefree as probably 99% of them are.

Hi all,
thanks for the warm welcome, greatly appreciated ;o)
With respect to my choice? I am a firm believer in psychological comfort and confidence in your weapon of choice. The CM9 and PM9 were / are great options, however, i do not like having my little finger wavering in the air with no solid surface with which to 'feel' secure. Although this is purely psychological, it is also extremely important to me. The CW9 with its slightly larger size meant that it satisfied the physical requirements and the psychological aspects of a concealed carry.
Should be off to the range this weekend!
Greetings, nice pistol.... nice ammo... shoot well!

The other 20 rounds are Speer Gold Dot 124's ;o)
It's the go to choice isn't it?! lol
Although i think i will be getting some federal HST 124 or 147 grain JHP to play around with.

The Speer Gold Dot work great in both my CW9 and my CW45.

So i have the non-chlorinated cleaner from Napa courtesy of Jocko's recommendations, and i went with the Tetra gun oil as my lubrication after some good reviews on here so picked up a 4oz bottle to try....
Wife wants me to pop to costco though haha.... duty calls, so i will have to do it this afternoon!

All cleaned, all lubed using the relevant guides and the Remora holster came in the mail today too! All in all a very productive day.
I have to say i am very impressed with the Remora Holster, i tried it on having come home from work in my training gear so couldn't resist popping it into my nike athletic shorts.... I could pull my shorts literally off me before the holster would alter its relationship with the waist band! Obviously the whole shorts and holster would move due to the loose fitting nature, but the holster would not adjust its ride height on the waistband itself.... i could draw from it easily without it moving too.
All in all, a very impressive piece of kit at a fantastic price and comfort level. I will try it out this week and perhaps do another report if anyone is interested.
Defo gets my vote!
