I've been to the range 4 times and put about 200 rounds through my new CM9 with zero problems and with good accuracy. (Would have put more through the CM9 each trip but I needed to shoot my SIGs and PM40.) Boy, I'm a happy camper!
This is fun.

Seems like an amazing success rate with these CM9s. Continued good luck with yours.

Another happy camper!!!!
Great news.
One thing that may make it "seem" like there are an abundance of good CM9's, is that there are no older CM9's out in the distribution channel. That is to say, older PM models, CW models... have undergone refinements. I'm convinced that newer ones are really good, but there are a lot of older ones still on shelves, or at distributors. Look at the serial numbers being reported for new purchases, or for guns "replaced" by Davidson's (or other distributors). Says there's oldies still out there, still new, but that "may" need some help by the mothership.

Tonight I smoothed the mag lip where it hits the mag catch when inserting and also rounded off the top right edge of the mag follower where it hits the mag catch on insertion. This seemed to have smoothed out the mag insertion and release a bunch, not quite as smooth as my much used PM40, but it's getting there. The rails still look smooth and I can't find any burrs on anything, so this one seems to be good to go. I have two more 6 round mags headed this way for carry.

Found a CM9 at last weekends gun show. I thought it would be some time before i would be able to add one due to "new gun, high price" effect; but I got lucky and found this one at the right price.
I also picked up two 7 round mags down a few tables, sold as new but I have my doubts, more on that in a bit.
The CM9 has been great with the one 6 round mag that came with it. I have fired about 100 rds so far without any issues, with the 6 round mag. A very easy handgun to shoot, I also have a CW9 and have tested them side by side. Recoil is about the same. So far I really like this little gem.:)
The one of the 2 seven round mags will cause a jam; nose dive.... about once every other 6 rounds or so. I think it is a weak mag spring; ordered 4 new ones from Wolf today....hope that is the fix.

Added some grip tape and polished the magazine today to get it to slide in and out a little easier. I think the mag release spring is stouter in the CM9 than in my PM40 so there is a little more drag until the mag clears the release. The mag won't drop out when empty in the CM9, at least not yet. I will check the mag well for any polymer bumps next. Loving this little gun, for the money, I don't think there is any competition. If I wanted to spend the money, I'd get a PM9 rather than anything else anyway. And I'm a SIG guy!

want to roll up some 600+ grip sand paper on a dowel and just smooth the hell out of the bottom of the magazine feed lips. It may feel smooth and it indeed might be smooth but doing this even smooths it out better. One can prep a magazine and follower to be even better than it is. Smoothing the magazine follower and doing alittle sanding if necessary where the follower slides past the magazine catch in the magtazine. just helps feeding issues. Some of these kahr followers will tend to want to grab that magazine button as it comes into contact with it. easy to check. just take the bottom floor plate off the magazine and now insert the empty magazine and now slowly feed that magazine follower witht he spring behind it and see if it slides all the way to the top of the magazine like it should If it tends to stop even alittle where it comes into contact with that magazine catch. pull the follower out and sand on that right side of the follower and retest, until it glides right buy with ease..
alot of feed isses are magazine related, so one can prep his magazines one time and in his mind he knows that any issues will now be cause the magazine might be bad

Gunmut--Follow Jocko's advice.
Also, unrelated to your problem, the mag well has a few seams inside where the polymer molding met. These seams were not perfect on my gun, making the magazine drag. But it was easily fixed with some 600 paper wrapped around a small file. I smoothed out all the seams and the magazine slips perfectly in to place now. Not a problem unless you are trying to drop a magazine and put in another one quickly. I may be the first guy here locally to use a PM9/CM9 in an IDPA match so I want the mags to drop on their own.
I am amazed at what a little 600 paper and Flitz will do for these little polymer guns.

Jocko--I will add a little to the previous note. There was some flash/mold joint roughness in my mag well, but the main reason why the mag wouldn't drop was that is was slightly bulged at the cartridge count sight holes. I didn't have another magazine to compare against so I missed it. I squeezed the magazine slightly in a vise as well as polished the hole area and now the magazine drops when released just like on my Sigs. I also smoothed/polished the magazine release where it contacts the magazine on insertion.
I also have the magazine release removal from the frame and reinstall down now. I did it 4 times while finding the rough spots in the mag well and on the magazine (only one I have right now).
I shot the gun again today and am now seriously considering shooting it instead of my Sig P239 in the next local IDPA practical pistol match. I'm not a contender anyway, so gun choice is only important to me. I've got it sighted in and its ready to go. Will practice some "rapid" fire and mag swaps next week then decide if I can survive with three 6 cartridge mags.
Thanks everyone for the help.

Just for kicks I tried hitting a 10" paper plate at 25 yards and was able to hit it 4 out of 5 rounds in windy conditions with my PM40. I couldn't believe it. I really, really like these little Kahr pistols in the CM/PM size.

the nice thing about suggestions is that if u take them then as u get into your fixing issues,u also are able to add to those fixes in what u also might thing would be beneficial. Glad it all worked out good for u.
