I bought a Fobus C-21B for a PM9 at Academy and tried it on the CM9. It was too tight, way too tight. All I had to do was spread the trigger guard side about 3/16" with some washers and longer screws. I left the donut in the adjustment screw. See photo below. I have no idea why this thing needed to be spread this much. Anyone have one for a PM9 that fit OK? It was even tighter on my PM40.

As my grandmother used to say, "You done good."

Yeah, I got sucked into buying one of those as well. I just Dremeled off the back of the rivet and left it in the holster. It seems sturdy enough without it. And, I used knurled nuts from a bicycle presta valve stem on either side of the original rubber doughnut, pretty much as you have along with a black water bottle mounting screw in place of the original tension screw. Everything almost looks like it belongs. The holster itself works really well when riding my bike with either the CW40 or PM40. :)

Fobus actually tells you to heat it up with a hair dryer and pull the sides gently apart. It works perfectly for my PM9.

I agree that its WAY too tight from the factory, but if you heat it up a little and pull it apart, it'll work wonders.

Brilliant! Never heard that before, but it sounds workable. Getting inside the trigger guard part to push must be a trick. You need a fair amount of additional room there for a 40.

Post a picture if you get a chance, please.

I did grind down a few other areas to get smooth insertion and draw. Heating and pushing them out of the way would have resulted in a nicer finish, that's for sure. I really like Fobus holsters. I do wish the PM40 or CW40 were more popular in Israel so that they might make a better holster for them. Oh well!

I thought about trying a hair dryer first but I didn't think I could spread mine enough at the trigger guard. I'll try it and see how many washers I can remove.

My modified C-21B for the PM9 and PM45. I did this about nine months ago but never posted assuming a lack of interest. Most seem to prefer the expensive custom leather rigs. I prefer function over fashion. Forgot to mention, I used 1/4" thick rubber grommets as spacers and barrel nuts. Added spacers to the front of the C-21B for the PM45.

Good work it is great when you have an idea and it works. I have never owned a Fobus that I didn't have to do something to it to make it a good holster.

Tried the holster at the range today. Worked great as shown. I'm happy.

I was told to place the gun in a sock and heat the holster till it's hot to the touch and slide the covered gun in. It gives it enough thickness to make it easier to slide the naked gun in and out

Thanks, I may try the heat, just so it doesn't look like it has been modified so much.

^ It'll work, trust me. When I first got my Fobus, I couldnt get my PM9 out of it. I had to put it between my knees and pull with all my strength to get that sucker out. 20 seconds with a blow dryer and a 5 second tug later, it fits perfectly. It's fit is still perfect after about a year of use
