Hi.
I just purchased my first Kahr.... a new CM9, and wanted to give a rundown on my experience and how pleased I am so far.
I bought it from Bud's online and had it the next business day. Great transaction. Took it home and cleaned it up and lubed it. Racked it 500 times and locked the slide back for a while to loosen things up.
I took 150 rounds to the range the first day (100 WWB and a 50-round box of PMC). The first 50 or so, I had a failure to feed (which I do think Kahr should work on that first round nose dive with the magazine) and a few failures of the slide to stay open on last round. These first 50 were the PMC's. When I moved onto the 100 pack of WWB, I only had zero problems. I also ran several Winchester PDX1 HP's with no problem, and that is what I use for SD rounds. I took it home, cleaned it, and noticed the poly bits on the gun (and my arms, LOL). I have since read that this normal with Kahrs during break-in. I just had not experienced this with Rugers, S&W's, etc. No biggie. I trust Kahr on their break-in period statement.
The next day, I took it back to the range with 100 more WWB, and had one failure to feed, then smooth sailing. It seems the gun and I are pulling it together as my accuracy is improving. I was hitting a little high and to the left consistently at 5-7 yards. Still would be center of mass on a BG.
I have a CT on the way, which should help me dial in a bit more.
I used to own an LCP whick I loved but am not fond of .380 cost and prefer 9mm as a SD round. I am very happy with the quality and feel of the CM9, and hope it will serve as a great pocket SD pistol.
