I get my CM9 tomorrow. I will clean her up (per the instructions here), rack her slide a good 500 times, and maybe make it to the range this weekend to try her out:D.
My first Kahr!!!!

Heh, I just ordered a CM9 today! Unfortunately, no shipping notice yet so I'm a little pessimistic about getting it by Friday. Still, it is on its way, in some fashion! Hope of all us newbies have good experiences :)

This will be my first Kahr.

CM9 friends,

I think it's prudent to take apart the slide when you get them to check for any machining debris that my be left over. I happen to do mine before I read this thread from one of the guys and found none. Increase your chances of a pleasurable experience

Had that same feeling last week when I ordered mine.
AS I drove up to the FFL dealer, I saw the big brown truck pulling out of their parking lot :D
Like a kid at Christmas.

Yaaaah! Santa was just here and he left a really good looking solid micro 9. Gonna clean, lube and cycle........I got a good feeling about this one.
Positivity is in the air.

go slow Roger P9, we don['t want any issues, shoot it like u stole it, u noted you wantto shoot 147 federal HP. it should do ok Imo, JUST MAKE sure trhe bigger bullet is not hitting that inside of the slide lock lever, it it clears that OK ur good to go. I shoot 147 fmj wwb in my PM9 with ease, although I just choose to shoot 124 gold dots or 125 corbon hp for carry. Also very found of corbon powerball. For some reason trhe 147 defense round was just not a priority with me. oNly reason I boght some 147 wwb fmj was it as $7.50 a box at wal mart a few years back so I bought a few thousand rounds. I really think they mispriced it..

Thanks jocko, appreciate the additional tips...nope, I'm going in with a bigtime positive attitude. And from the end-users point of view, this time I'm gonna shoot using the pad of my finger instead of the first joint finger crease (like I do with my Glocks)
Pull and let release all the way. No short trigger reset shooting.......again, like with the Glockers.

I picked up my CM9 today. It's a nice compact well built pistol. I was supposed to get it yesterday, but my FFL wasn't home. I had to wait a whole extra day:rolleyes:.
I took it apart and cleaned it, oiled it, and racked the slide a couple o' hundred times. Man that recoil spring is strong!!!! Very nice trigger on it. I may get to the range next week to try it out.
My first Kahr, and my first impression is very positive. If it shoots as nice as it looks, I think I'm gonna really like this little gun.
