Does anyone besides me have issues with different triggers on different guns?

I couldn't hit anything at first with the Beretta 92fs at 10 yards. Never have had much luck with the gun. I thought the sights were off and then my son shot it and hit bullseye 3 times in a row. I realized it was me. Shot a hundred rounds or so and I got a little better. Then I switched to a 1911 and did a better. I was shooting both single action.

I can do better at 25 yards than 10 yards . I think that must be because I'm "aiming" more at one distance and "point and shooting" at the other.

Funner still is I can shoot one handed and do as well as two handed many times.

But I do shoot well my cw9, ruger mark III, and LCP well. Maybe I just need to hit up Detrich for some extra ammo and just go shoot everything I have more often. :59:

In my range days - when the 92 had first been adopted by the US armed services, we had a lot of initial interest in civilian sales. Quite a few folks shot low and left with the 92. You really had to concentrate on it.

The running joke was

Customer: My Beretta is shooting low and to the left, can that be corrected?
Range person: Yes. If we find your pistol is off, we adjust the sights with a hammer and punch. If we find your trigger finger is the fault, we can also use the hammer and punch on it if you like......

Dry firing and "calling the shot" help a LOT in this regard.

I think I need option 2, hammer and punch on the finger.

all I need is viagra for the trigger finger. It's tough finding handguns to fit short fingers. The Beretta 92/96 just6 don't fit me either..... for that matter there ain't too many double stacks that do.

One reason I have always favored 1911s....with short triggers and thin grips.

I was thinking the same thing about the thin grips. I seem to shoot them much better. I guess it's just the fit.
