View Full Version : PM9 cc
Have 200 of Lawman down the range from new PM9, purrin like a kitten. Beginning to think about EDC. Current is Recluse with LCP...will definitely buy an appropriate Recluse for PM9, but size is marginal for pocket carry. After reading this and other forums, I would like pro & con on Silent thunder versus Crossbreed Mini tuck for IWB. Other suggestions also welcome. THNX

My Remoras have seen a lot of duty for my LCP and CM9. Its hard to find the perfect holster, and have been switching hands over the last year, which explains why I can't fit any more socks in my sock drawer :p but these are definitely one of the most versatile holsters that perform as advertised.
Congrats on the first 200. Its gets better!

bege, The Crossbreed is a fine holster for larger guns so I'm not down on it, however, it is way overkill for a PM9. The PM9 is a small enough to nestle in a single clip - grab-N-go holster like the Silent Thunder. When changing pants to go somewhere, I only have to grab it and slip it into position without hardly a thought. Don't even have to mess with my belt to put it on.
I have a dual clip holster for my 1911 and let me tell you I have to think about that one. I usually undo my pants and twist around to get it clipped where I want it. If a little out of position I have to slide both clips, a 2 handed operation. Once in position it is comfortable, but not as much as the Silent Thunder.
For me the quick on/off was a requirement and I did try a Crossbreed in a LGS but it was too much a hassle for me. Others may disagree and that's fine, perhaps they have found a way that works for them. I'm older and not very limber, but I don't think you should have to be to put on a holster.
You do need a decent (not great) belt for the Silent Thunder and PM9 so a skinny dress belt may sag. I have a cheap (came free with my pants) 5.11 gun belt I use for the ST and it works very well. In case you run across some pics here, I'll say I beefed up another belt to carry my 1911 in a new OWB holster that's on it's way.
PS, is bege like "The Bee Gees" group? I watched my DVD of them again last night.

Crossbreed has the MicroClip one clip holster for small guns like the PM or CM. -
