:D Hey guys,
Took the new CM9 and a box of 100 WWB 115g to the range today and guess what happened? Bang bang bang slide locked opened....
Hmmmmm..no FTF, just had to hit the slide release and I was right back in business. Second mag, bang bang bang.slide locked opened. OK Third mag, same thing after the third round. (Hope this goes away)
It went away! All subsequnt rounds- - - - FLAWLESS
I started shooting a little low (still on paper) at 10 yards (did this last year with the P9) but then corrected for it and was hitting center mass thereafter. WHAT A GREAT SHOOTING LITTLE GUN! Sorry no pics as my camera broke on me.
Next time, gotta run another 100 WWB then my Gold Dot 124g+Ps...
Oh, BTW, I guess I'm superstitious because I didn't shoot in the 6+1 configuration. That's when I had all the trigger not resetting issues last year with P9...and plus, if I ever need more than 6 +P Gold Dots, I'm in a lot of doo doo and should have a spare mag with me anyway!
Then, I gotta figure out which night sights go best on the CM9. ;)

any chance the ol thumb getting in the way of the slide lock lever??? u outta test out the 6 +1 thing anyhow, it will work ok for u. still a nice report and if no thumb issue, then the gun worked itself out. I was beginning to think if u had a duck it would drown..

Shucks, some of us actually had to slightly mod our slide release levers to get that fixed. :)

Took my new CM9 to the range for the first time yesterday! You are right it is a great shooting little pistol. I ran all 250 rounds I shot yesterday with the 6+1 and no issues at all I don't think you will either. Congrats on the CM9 they are great!

I was beginning to think if u had a duck it would drown..That's the first thing I thought jocko. I shoot with the two thumbs forward grip and my left thumb does rest on the slide stop while shooting. So, after my second slide lock open malfunction, I fired the next magazine with one hand and had my final malfunction. So, no....it wasn't caused by my thumb pushing up the slide stop. Then, all subsequent shots went fine with my thumb resting on the slide stop.

I had to mod my CM9.
First thing to do is check your clearance. Take the slide off, then reinsert the slide stop, then with a full mag insert and watch for any upward movement in the lever as the top round goes past the slide stop pin. I would use the Gold dots to test as they are bigger and will also be your carry ammo so it must work with them. Check that and let us know if it clears.
If not you may have to polish and or file some off the end of the pin. I also had to increase spring pressure on mine too.

Beardog, Thank you so much for such great help and info. I just ran the test exactly as you described and no, the nose of the Gold Dot does not push or move the slide stop at all. (Comes extremely close, but doesn't cause it to move)
Perhaps this was happening initially with my WWB range ammo and then somehow just worked itself out?
Just curious though....did you need to increase tension in that tiny little slide stop spring in there? Is that the "spring" your referring to? If so, how'd you do that? Wolff sell an increased power slide stop spring? lol

Sprayed some jocko juice through the cleaning hole and man, he's right, alot of filth comes out there. Thanks jocko, I'll even start doing it with my Glocks.

Good!, I hope you don't have any more issues with it.
Yes, that little spring that pushes slide stop down and also holds the stop in the frame is the one I had to adjust. At first I just took a needle nose and slightly bent the end that sits on top of the stop down, but still had issues. (My slide stop was actually being pushed out of the frame slightly) So I had to remove the spring and I bent the side that holds the pin in the frame so it would hold tighter. Also adjusting the tightness of the screw is very critical as it can change the tension/pressure as well.
There are some excellent photos and info in the Tech section that Greg posted if you ever need to adjust it.

Also, if you have more than one mag try them all. For what ever reason I found differences in my stock and extra mag. Mine is tuned for either now.

MM is correct, My CW9 mag seemed to clear just fine in the CM9, but the stock 6rd mag that came with the CM9 was rubbing. I think a lot of this problem is really a mag problem. These Kahrs are great little carry guns, but the mags are of POOR design all the way around. IMHO

More great info guys. I was using my stock Kahr mag today and I have 2 more 6 round Kahr mags arriving Tuesday. I'm just gonna run these 3 stock 6 round Kahr mags only, I'll certainly test the other two. ;)
BTW, are there any viable alternate mags for the CM9? Side note, alot of guys use 1911 "modified" officers mags in their CW45 to get a flush fitting mag for carry. They're 100% functional.
