There`s a gun show coming up the weekend of the 18th.Yours truly plans to attend.Today I sold two of my safe queens and I have a decent amount of disposable funds for a change.I`m not used to that.I am leaning toward getting another compact .45 for carry purposes but I haven`t made up my mind on just what yet.I was looking at a Sig P250 but I really don`t know that much about them.If I run across a decent price on a P220 I`ll probably jump on it.I`ve already got a Glock 36 that carries beautifully and the model 30sf is always an option. Can I get any input from you guys on this?Ever since I got in the .45acp game I`ve had tunnelvision about that caliber. As great looking as 1911s are,I`m not all that interested in them.I`m more into the concealment side of things.I`d also like a piece that will hold more than 6 rounds. That`s my only issue with the G36 and it in itself is not a deal breaker.Any suggestions?

We got a gunshow this weekend too. We're on similar tracks except for the disposable income part. I'm kind of lacking in that area.
You might look at the M&P45C, actually someone here has one for sale. The county here recently went to them and the guys I've talked to like them alot.
I also like the Sig 220SAS, with it's all melted down and rounded off slide. Nice looking but pushing the limits you describe for concealment.
I'm a fan of the Para LDA's, they make some small compact 45, look like a 1911 but have a very nice DA pull vaguely similar to a kahr. Much lighter takeup and then a resistance at the end like a 1911. Hammer down all the time.
They make some small double stacks that would meet your more than 6 criteria.
I'm sure you'll have no problem with people helping you decide how to part with your disposable income.

I guess that you've eliminated the CW45 with MORE THAN 6 rounds?? The CW will hold 7... 6+1 and 7+1 with the excellent 7-round extended grip model model 725G pictured here with my PM45:

I use the 725G at the range and for home defense with my PM45. I've had no failures at all with the Kahr 725G magazines.
I'm still working on an Officer-sized magazine for 6-7 rounds that will hold the slide back on empty.

Very true for sure. If it wasn't for my natural good looks and charm I'd be nothing but a blight on society. Course I might be a blight on society anyhow but at least I'm not alone with all the folks in the other Washington.
Maybe you could just send me some disposable income. Be one less thing ya know. Check that off the lacking area?

Where's the gun show?
Here in Monroe. You heard we're getting a Cabella's up at Quilceda by the casino next year?
Check your email and PM's I had questions for you.
Dietrich, you already own two of the best .45auto available....The Glock36 for carry and Glock30 for everything else....
Okay, I can understand that you want to go smaller which limits you to the Kahr PM45 :) That ported PM45 I picked up awhile ago is still at Kahr getting repaired :( yes it was a POS but I'm sure there is good ones out there. The Sig P250c and M&P45c are both excellent guns(I always liked the M&P45c ergos) but with either you're splitting hairs size wise vs. the Glocks.

You know pal,the more I look and read, the more I think you`re right. When you consider all factors as to weight, reliability, ease of concealment etc.,I do have a pretty good hold on the .45 thing.I believe I`ll just go to the gun show and enjoy myself without being on the lookout for anything.I`ll probably enjoy it more that way and it will free up my attention for more serious girl watching activities.Thanks.

Since you've already got big boys, might as well have some fun.
Get a nice Kimber.
9mm will allow you to play a lot more.

I`ve already got 3 nines,a G19,a HiPower and a PM9.When I decided to move up in firepower I bypassed the .40 and jumped up to the .45.Kimbers are very nice but a little pricey for my budget.I`m just a poor, dumb hick from down south,ya know.

The S&W M&Ps are nice I have one in 40s&w compact and it shoots nice and feels real good I still like my xd 40 better but not much the guns are so similar as far as comfort and shootability that its hard to tell which one im shooting half the time.I havent shot the M&P45 but I have shot a couple XD45s and the shoot nice with a controlable recoil so I would imagine the M&P45 would be the same.

I second Bawanna's suggestion of an M&P. My compact 45 had excellent ergonomics, was 100% reliable, and was very accurate. Unfortunately, it was stolen. I too like the 45 ACP, but when I replaced the 45, I got an M&P c 40, because it's so much smaller and lighter, and is 10+1 rather than 8+1. The 40 has been just as reliable, is just as accurate, and is easier to carry.

Well gunshow this weekend and didn't get no disposable income from jocko. I did get a nice little stipend from Tucson so I'm not going in empty handed anyhow. Maybe it'll show up today or tomorrow. Still time left.
Always hope.
