My P380 magazines do not drop free when the release is pressed. I have to pull them out by hand which doesn't seem proper to me. Is this an issue or are all P380s like this?

I had the exact same problem with both magazines supplied with the gun. I sent the gun off to Accurate Iron to stipple the grip area and add Big Dot sights. I had mentione the problem to Mike when I sent the gun off. It came back with the dropping free every time I pushed the release button. I don't know if he did anything to the gun, but the work great now.

Mine drop free if I can push the button hard enough. It's a chore.

Just got my p380 about a month ago.. RCxxxx. My one mag that came with my CA edition flies out with no problem and not too much effort.

I have to push my mag up from the bottom in order to be able to slide it out.

Paste wax works. Also, use a small toothbrush to clean the magwell interior, particularly near the magazine release button area.

Good advice! I gave the mag well a good cleaning with a toothbrush and Q-Tip then put a light coat of car wax on the inside. It really did help. The magazine will drop out, but I have to reposition my hand to press the release firmly enough to eject the magazine. Not a perfect situation but at least it works.

I rubbed some Mil-Teck on the outside of the mag - fell free after that.
