Refresh my memory please. Is it normal to have a half moon notch out of the left front rail on the frame. I have one. Approximately 450 rds thru gun.

It's like a witness or index mark for the polymer coating phase. It's explained I believe better in the owners manual. I know it's one of the questions in the FAQ area of the Kahr website.
All polymer kahrs have it. Nothing to be concerned about in the least.
Many many kahr owners have panicked when they saw it so you certainly aren't the first to be alarmed by it.
Direct from Kahrs Q&A section.
Q. There is a chip in the metal guide rail of my polymer pistol. Is this normal?
A. This is a witness mark for the polymer frame manufacturer and is present by design.
