I bought a box of this to try in my new CM9. It won't break my little pistol, will it??? I mean, after all, it's not a Glock:p.

As long as it cycles them flawlessly, then a good round like so many other good 9mm choices.
When testing my CM, I stuck 124+P Gold dots in full mags and randomly with the WWB to detect any premature slide locking errors. I could tell when you hit the +ps. Nice firm snap. I bet your CM9 enjoys them and asks for more.

Yeah, I knew it could handle it. It's a well put together little gun. I was looking for the Speer Gold Dot short barrel ammo, but I couldn't find any. I wonder how much of a difference it makes anyway? I bet the regular GDs work just as well.

I`ve carried the 124 grain +P Golden Saber in my PM9 since I bought it.I`ve done some modest testing with that round [and the Speer Gold Dot 124 gr.+P] and they both penetrate and expand beautifully in wet newsprint.I also did a test using a ham my wife had bought for Easter. She still brings that one up periodically.Anyway, you can carry either of those rounds with confidence in your new handgun. It will handle them. Both are great SD ammunition.

I've never had a Kahr balk at a +p round although I usually don't use them. My ammo of choice in my PM9 is standard pressure 124 gr HST's.
BTW, if Kahrs were Glocks, I wouldn't have bought five of them. :)

This is on my list of things to test in a PM9. Like you, I'm skeptical but the chronograph will tell us the truth.

That would be great if you could test both of them. I've never heard if it's a differnce in powder or bullet design (or both) in the short barrel Gold Dots. I really doubt they would make a change in the bullet design.
Thanks!!!!

From what I can find online, they use a faster burning powder to reduce muzzle flash and get a little more velocity before the bullet leaves the barrel. The bullet is also designed to expand at lower velocities than the regular Gold Dots.
