Hello. Pardon if this is a stupid question, but is it the case that I should put my pistol (an MK9) through break-in if I have changed the recoil spring? In my case, the factory changed the spring (along with the ejector) in response to FTE issues. Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

Just shoot enough to function test everything. That's something one would do with almost any parts change... just to make sure everything still works. A box of ammo should do the trick.
Not sure if the entire 200 rounds will be needed, but there may be some break in. The new recoil spring is going to be stronger for a little while, until it has had some flexing. After that, it should stay more or less even in its tension (lower than "new") for a while...gradually getting to the point that its no longer serviceable. Depending on your hold, firmness, ammo used... its conceivable that you may have failure to eject or failure to feed problems, just as if you were limp wristing the pistol a little. Once that spring gets loosened a bit, that should go away.
Without firing a shot, some vigorous racking of the slide would do the same job, but do function check the pistol with some live fire as well.

The break in is to wear parts together so they slide smoothly against each other. The recoil spring should have anything to do with it. But after any change to your carry gun you do need to run it a bit just to make darn sure nothing else changed.
