Attended both days and had a ball.Reloading components are still down in price from a few months ago.I guess the panic buying has subsided a little and prices have stabilized.Primers at $27.95 per thousand and 8# kegs of Hodgdon powder for $127.00.Saw some handgun prices that ranged from reasonable to GIVE ME A BREAK.I can`t believe that some people would even consider paying those prices. One example: a Glock model 30SF-$599.00.The dealer said that was the going price these days. That was on Saturday. On Sunday,I bought a G30SF [from another dealer.I despise people who lie to me and think I`m stupid enough to believe them.] for $510.I also managed to steer another potential customer away from the bloodsucker and to a more decent dealer through the use of my devastating charm and rapier-like wit.

Why not? You've already got "Dear Dietrich" sewed up so advice you can get "paid" to give....What's the down side?:D

Had a gun show here this last week end also but didn't go. I like to wait on the Houston Gun Collectors shows as they have a very good and large selection of just about everything.

Congrats on the G30SF! With manly, man-sized hands, you should really enjoy it.

Don't you have a G36 there Dear Dietrich? What happens to that?

Nothing happens to it.It will still be carried in a primary role when the mood strikes or possibly as a BUG at times.Ain`t no law against carrying a brace of 45s is there?Uh oh.I forgot where I lived for a minute. There may very well be a law against it.There has been a great deal of discussion concerning the wording of our carry law.It refers to a concealed weapon, not weapons.I don`t know what the definitive answer is as of this moment but I`ll try to find out.I may be a dirty, low down law breaker for all I know.

I always figured weapon for the singular. If they ask do you have a gun on you, I can say no since that's only one. Long as I got minimum of 2 I'm ok. Plural is a wonderful thing.

Certainly no law against a brace of 45's. Just my gluttony showing thru in case it was seeking a new home. See I even covet glocks. I'm a sick man.

In my research of cc 45s I read a post from one guy who said he owned 15 Glocks.I can`t imagine that.I now own 3 but I feel awkward admitting it.I`m not one of those people who think that Glocks are the be all to end all. They are just affordable, dependable, workmanlike firearms.I really like my model 19 but it just doesn`t compare to my Browning HiPower and there is no Glock subcompact that can compare to my Kahr PM9.Glocks are a good gun to covet but there are some real hotties out there if you want to cough up the dough.

The thing I like about Glocks is that if the law takes it away there's no tears. But I don't want them anywhere near Dad's Colt (or my Kahr)!

Hmmmm........ as long as Plural is not referring to marriage. Trying to do the right thing enough to please one wife is enough. You never do enough right to please 2 or more wives.:behindsofa:

Dietrich:"Societies in ancient Rome,Germany, and China used urine as mouthwash. And to think I once complained about the taste of Listerine"

They used it to whiten their teeth. That makes you wonder who discovered that and how.

They had nice white teeth until the uric acid ate away too much of the enamel and their teeth rotted out!

Raleigh is. And you`re right,Atlantic isn`t big enough for a gun show,or is it?I`d love to know how many guns there are in this little community.Everybody I know here have at least several guns in their homes on display. No telling how many stashed around the places. My wife has a relative who owns over eighty by himself. If everyone cleaned out their houses,I`ll bet you could have a monster show down here.Whether the guns are legal or not is a matter for another day.

I guess you could take the Democratic approach and just throw money at the problem.

Yeah, Raleigh is definitely big enough to have a gun show. When we lived down there, we went to New Bern to the show. Course, it's still not as big as Raleigh.

I'm probably betting there are a lot of people who have several guns down there. Thing of all the former military down there. If you ever get a chance, the best gun store is in Newport at Ed's Gun Shop. That is where jlottmc always bought his stuff.
