Nothing to worry about. It's a witness mark for the molding process. Every polymer Kahr has the same exact notch.
The explanation is in the FAQ's on Kahr website.

Just kidding. When I first got my CW9, stripped it before going to the range and noticed the same thing. Thought it was either defective or that some how I damaged my new gun. :eek:

yep. Mine has that - PM9 from 2009
